Are You Ready For The Massive Shift That Is Taking Place?
Many miss what is taking place right in front of them.
The advantage to a site like Leofinance is we are shown what is taking place. There is a lot that is happening real time that connecting the dots is fairly simple. This is especially true since we have the progression of the Internet a few decades back as a blueprint for those things generally will progress.
In short, the world is going to be a completely different place due to blockchain, cryptocurrency, and tokenization. Technology is moving at a rapid pace and we see more code being rolled out each day. To deny that we are moving deeper into a digital world is not a logical conclusion. While the "Metaverse" mght take decades to evolve, we are going to see many aspect of our lives converted to digital.
This was already the story of the Internet. Now, we are putting it on steroids.

Expanding The Potential Within Our Minds
The challenge most people have is they cannot expand their thinking. We see a lot of naysayers who, in hindsight, end up looking foolish. When it comes to technology, these people always look foolish.
It is true that picking particular winners is difficult. However, when we have an idea about the general path forward, it is easy to see how things will unfold. For example, there is little doubt that we are seeing the foundation of Web 3.0. To dispute whether it is happening or not is a waste of time. Those who deny it either are clueless or have an agenda. We have to be mindful of the fact that many do not want technological progress in areas where they are dominant. Disruption might be good for customers, it is not for those companies in control.
Look at what happened to Blockbuster and Kodak.
Therefore, it is time to prepare for Web 3.0. It is happening whether we are ready or not. THe question now is whether one will benefit. The money generated off Web 2.0 was unseen in human history. Did you profit from it? If you are like most of us, the answer is no. We saw more billionares spring up from this medium and untold number of millionaires. Yet, for the majority of us, we are no further along.
Web 3.0 is the opportunity to change all of that. Since we know it is going to happen, now we have to determine what is going to be successful. This is a difficult to project. Fortunately, we can have a hand in helping this along. Just like the early innovators, we can immerse ourselves in the path that is unfolding. Through our efforts, we actually help write it.
To fully realize this, it is up to each of us to expand the scope of our thinking. Whatever the application, especially on Hive, the potential is enormous. That does not mean that we blindly jump into every new project with everything we have. There are going to he failures. Nevertheless, being mindful of where things can be is vital.
Every Web 2.0 Entity Will Be Destroyed
This is a bold statement and 100% accurate. The challenge is we have no idea how long this will take. Some like Google and Facebook might last another 100 years. Or they might be gone within a couple decades.
The life expectancy of a company is not forever. Digital companies are at greater risk than traditional ones since they tend to operate simply upon network effect. The moat, as Buffett likes to point out, is slim. Even for a company that has billions of users, we know this can change.
Within cryptocurrency, the leaders of today will not be there in 5 years. We know this since there were other tokens at the top of the list half a decade ago. Innovation keeps happening on a consistent basis. We are dealing with a rather small industry compared to what it will be like in a decade.
For this reason, it is important to be flexible, attentive, and understanding about how things are progressing. It is also crucial to raise our level of thinking to how massive Web 3.0 will be. When the first applications emerged that are now Web 2.0, few thought they could be much. After all, who saw Amazon taking out Macys, Radio Shack, and Sears? Yet that is exactly what happened.
We will see the same thing happen with Web 3.0. In a decade, there will be household names that none of us even know today. Some of the biggest brands of this era will be on life support. This is how technological progress happens. Whatever is in the way, gets obliterated.
It is up to us to figure out both what is doing the punching and who gets knocked out.

From my on view social media platforms like Facebook in the next 100 years might get rolled out whilst we prepare for crypto social media platforms. One just uses them and earn some crypto.
That will be a massive innovation. Thanks for sharing.

It will be interesting to see how long companies like META stay relevant. Innovation is going to be key. Many will keep up, some will not.

There are no two ways technology is evolving everyday with new improvement seen, I'm sure years from now we will witness a big turn around nothing for sure last forever.
I think it will take more than a decade and I don't think Web 2.0 is going to disappear forever. It might not be the main driver for applications but it's too difficult to eradicate.

I think it is amazing in retrospect How huge stores Like Sears and MOntgomery Wards, which were all over the country for 50 years, Montgomery Wards is completely gone, Sears is shrinking and JC Penny is almost gone. These three huge retail powers looked invincible, but are becoming footnotes in the story of retail commerce. I also think of BlockBuster Video, which once was as common as cars, and was found in every city, hamlet and village across America. No one would have imagined the demise of such a huge business. But the consumer shifted away from picking up movies to having movies delivered and this huge entertainment giant disappearred semingly over night. Now there are teenagers and young adults who have never heard of these once giant retailers.
So I never think of companies as to big to fail, I just think of them as not failed yet. Change and adaption are hard. And the bigger the company, the harder it is to change.
Most just die.
As they said so famously in Game of Thrones... winter is coming, and many of the living will die.

We have to be mindful of the fact that many do not want technological progress in areas where they are dominant.— this right here is why web3 comes into the picture . The Web3 has set out to break up the market power of these centralized players by replacing the centralized server-client infrastructure with distributed ledgers, the most common type being the blockchain. So instead of all data being stored on a centralized server, it will be scattered across a decentralized computer network. Centralized entities, which previously acted as intermediaries, will thus become obsolete.
Technology has never been stopped so, it's a fact that web2.0 entities will be shunned by users as web3.0 technology gains more ground.
