Leo Bringing Web3 To The Forefront

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

We see the difference between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 when we look at Leo.

In this video I discuss how ownership is what separates the two systems. Web 2.0 often pits their owners (shareholders) against the users. Web 3.0 should be different. The users should be the ones financially benefitting.

It's the web 3, Hive Blockchain that helps me understand what we we're deprived of by Facebook, YouTube and other web 2 platforms. I appreciate the benefits Leo is offering us.

I'm really liking what Leo is doing. They are offering Web2 apps and giving it a Web3 twist. I just hope they get more popular since Elon is really ramping up his plan of upending the other social media giants. He is not one to shy away from crypto and Web3. So if he becomes successful with his plans, he can just as easily incorporate Web3 elements into his apps.

Kudos to Leo. So you are saying that Leo is the leading force on the web3 actualization. That's good! We all will be fully involved, only that sometimes the inleo.io doesn't respond easily for posting and threading.

Summary:
In this video, the speaker discusses the transition of Web 2 to Web 3, focusing on how Leo is innovatively bringing Web 3 principles to the forefront. The speaker mentions the adoption of an ad revenue contract by LeoFinance for leo.io, which allows revenue from ads to be used to purchase tokens that are then distributed to stakeholders. This unique approach aligns the goals of users and platform owners, unlike the traditional Web 2 model where there is a disconnect between users and shareholders. The speaker emphasizes that Web 3 allows for community ownership and the ability for users to financially benefit from platform success.

Detailed Article:

The speaker starts by introducing the topic of Web 3 and highlights Leo's role in advancing Web 3 principles. LeoFinance or leo.io has implemented an ad revenue contract to generate revenue from external sources, similar to conventional Web 2 business models. The speaker acknowledges the effectiveness of ad revenue models utilized by tech giants like Google and Facebook, emphasizing the significant income generated through advertising on large platforms.

The discussion delves into the difference between Web 2 and Web 3 models. In Web 2, platforms like Google and Facebook accumulate substantial revenue, which primarily benefits shareholders and not necessarily the platform users. On the contrary, the unique approach adopted by Leo ensures that revenue from ads is converted to Bitcoin via a smart contract, then used to purchase and distribute Leo tokens to stakeholders. This innovative method aligns the interests of users and platform owners, eliminating the traditional conflict seen in Web 2 platforms.

The speaker contrasts Web 2 platforms, where shareholders reap the financial rewards, with Leo's ecosystem, where users are the primary beneficiaries of the ad revenue. The community and platform owners are unified InLeo's model, enhancing user engagement and participation due to the direct financial benefits. This contrasts sharply with the conventional Web 2 environment, where there is a disconnect between users and shareholders.

Furthermore, the discussion points out that traditional platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Google operate with a clear divide between shareholders and users, unlike the integrated ownership structure observed in Web 3 platforms like Leo. The speaker emphasizes the democratization of benefits in Web 3 environments, allowing users to participate in and profit from the platform's success, irrespective of their financial status.

In conclusion, the speaker underscores the transformative nature of Web 3, particularly in terms of ownership and financial participation. The Leo platform exemplifies a community-driven approach where users are not just passive participants but active stakeholders who directly benefit from the platform's success. This shift towards user-centric models in Web 3 represents a significant departure from the traditional profit-driven structures of Web 2 platforms.
