LeoThreads Adding Polls: This Could Be A Major Feature For Hive
In this video I discuss the upcoming addition of polls to LeoThreads. This is something that was mentioned a few times over the past week.
We are looking at on-chain voting, something that alters how people can interact with the blockchain. We are looking at the use of custom JSONs as a way to track all voting activity.

Right on that's an interesting option and I really can't wait to check those out.
I'm so looking forward to the polls and understand fully how it's operated. Things can only keep getting better with these types of developments ☺️.

I was introduced here few just yesterday... I'm really enjoying it already
Progressively as the network expand either threads, blogs or other dapps there will be more demand of Hive, threads would also have to bring in a new generation of user to Hive because most of the users already in Hive who post once a day and log off may not interact so much on threads, it still an exciting part of the puzzle
LeoThreads is getting more interesting with time and many users are enjoying it also. I think Adding pools is a good and important one which can be useful for us in the upcoming days to know the opinion of other users.
I am waiting for the feature.
Summary:
In this video, Task discusses the upcoming updates on LeoThreads and Hive, particularly focusing on the introduction of polls. He highlights the significance of polls in increasing engagement and interactions within the LeoFinance community. Task emphasizes the potential of recording poll votes on the blockchain via custom JSON, allowing for various applications like community-guided decisions or elections. He also delves into the impact of increased user activity on the blockchain, which could lead to a surge in resource credit utilization, thus necessitating higher power. Task envisions the growth potential of LeoThreads and the subsequent ripple effects on transactions, user engagement, and the overall Hive ecosystem.
Detailed Article:
Task's video delves into the upcoming updates on LeoThreads and Hive, specifically honing in on the introduction of the polling feature. He begins by commending the rapid updates on LeoThreads and underlines the importance of consistent improvements, even if not individually groundbreaking. The forthcoming addition of polls is positioned as a significant step towards enhancing engagement within the LeoFinance community.
The discussion shifts towards the technical aspect of polling, particularly the plan to record votes on the blockchain via custom JSON. Task points out the potential applications of this approach, such as using polls for community decisions or even simulated elections, like in DCity. By requiring a certain token amount to vote, the system could ensure participation from vested and involved community members.
Furthermore, Task explores the implications of increased user activity on LeoThreads for the broader Hive ecosystem. With a projection of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of polls and votes daily, he anticipates a surge in resource credit utilization. This surge could stimulate the need for higher power within the ecosystem, indicating potential growth opportunities and increased blockchain activity.
While acknowledging that LeoThreads alone may not lead to the desired outcomes for the Hive ecosystem, Task highlights its role as a vital piece in the larger puzzle. He speculates on the possibility of LeoThreads expanding tenfold, envisioning a scenario of heightened user engagement and increased transactions. Task emphasizes the organic nature of these interactions, contrasting them with artificial activities like wash trading, thereby underscoring their authenticity and significance.
In conclusion, Task expresses his excitement for the upcoming feature and emphasizes the importance of certain functionalities like geographical tagging and time limits for polls. He views these as not game-changers individually but as foundational features that can pave the way for further innovation within the LeoFinance ecosystem. The video encapsulates Task's optimism for the evolving landscape of LeoThreads, foreseeing its potential to drive user engagement, transaction volumes, and overall growth within the Hive platform.
