Bitcoin vs. Hive: A Look At Both
Bitcoin is the leader in cryptocurrency. There is no doubt about that. The challenge is that blockchain is nothing more than a financial ledger. Also, from what we know, this is exactly what it will be in 10 years.
In this video I discuss Bitcoin as compared to Hive. With the latter, we have a decentralized database that is much more than a ledger. Also, the transactions are going to be much greater due to the ability to make micropayments. This is something that Bitcoin, as the base layer, cannot do.

But isn't lightning solving the micropayments issue? Still more expensive than Hive, but I think it works. On some level.
The problem is that is moving the payment system to the second layer. What is the point of blockchain if the payments are moved to an unincentivized layer where the node operators are going to have to eventually figure out a way to monetize the service?

That's true.
Hmmm…. What percentage of RC’s are actually being used right now? Maybe @dalz could crunch the numbers.
That is a good question. I would love to learn that. Are we looking at 10% of the HP (RC)? 5%? 50%?
