Am I A Hive Maximalist?

This is a question that was asked of me on discord. It is something that we all have to consider in some form.

In this video I discuss my answer to this question and, more importantly, the thinking that went into that answer. Also, I address some of the ways I view other projects and how I see cryptocurrency unfolding.

It's probably a bit absurd being a maxi of anything out of the top10 I assume, but who knows considering how underrated this ecosystem is, some could consider many of us here for maxi's. Being a maxi is so ridiculous to me, the whole "have determination" is more like a cult/religion than anything. I'm grateful for Bitcoin and Satoshi for what he released to this world but I'd pay a good amount of Hive to hear what he'd think of the masses and their drama these days over what coin is better, etc.

I have been thinking about Hive's ranking position. As it appears right now on coingecko, Hive is ranked 209th. Yes, this blockchain, where I have landed very recently, is underrated, but the real value is there and it's high, and it has already been important for many people. Here for example in a poor Caribbean country like Cuba, people are engaging with cryptocurrencies via Hive ecosystem, with a feasible way to achieve some economic relief, with zero investment --and we engage with original inputs and we get rewarded--, although the system is not perfect. I don't know how many of others crypto ecosystems allow that kind of feasible way to grow your shares, and resolve real and urgent demands.

There is a big difference between value and market price. The market does what it does. A lot of hit is based upon hype (and speculation).

With Hive, the people on here are building value. That is what projects do. It is a completely different world.

Yeah. There is no way all transactions are going to happen on one chain. Ethereum is not going to disappear, in spite of the belief in the Ethereum Killers. It is going strong. Centralized? Maybe. Dying. Not likely.

I agree with you "foundation is crucial", look for any crypto project which foundation was better done than on BITCOIN (aside of HIVE, of course), none.

Web 3.0 is hard to find because few ecosystems appear to be building it. They will have their place I believe but it is now a situation where they are is the hype and the builders.

They are hard to distinguish sometimes but in the long run, it becomes clear.

I don't really consider myself to be a maxi because I believe that there will be multiple winning chains. However, I do believe in Hive and the development here is strong. There is no reason for me to believe it will fail and the developers are all spread out building things.
