This is the ironic twist with technology. We often find that we make incredible progress when looking back yet also find we havent really progressed.

In this video I discuss how, on Hive, we are light years ahead of where we were at the start of the last bear market. However, we also havent accomplished much since that time. This is not exclusive to cryptocurrency. We see the same thing with robotics.

Do we have to go anywhere? The journey is more important than the destination.

Hive is definitely developing but I still think the focus needs to be on some good applications. People will flock over if it's good and I think it's a process. We can't rush it otherwise it won't help us much in the future when we do have something great.

Hive proved that it can thrive in the Web3 crypto world, but still it needs to get on the market sooner with some products that are still in development. We are growing with it and alongside that we see the possibilities from here and who knows, maybe we become creators ourselves.

Summary:
In this video, Task talks about the progress and stagnation in the cryptocurrency and blockchain world, focusing on the development of technologies like DeFi and NFTs. He reflects on the similarities with the early innovators of the Internet and the unpredictable nature of technology. Task also discusses the growth of platforms like Hive, highlighting the community's control after a hard fork from Steem. He emphasizes the need for patience and continuous effort in the face of slow progress, likening it to the journey of technological advancements like robots.

Detailed Article:
Task starts the video by contemplating the paradox of progress within the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. Reflecting on the state of technology five years ago, particularly during the end of the 2017 bull market, he observes that despite advancements, the industry seems to have not moved significantly forward. He mentions how in the past, many big visions and dreams were discussed by figures like Vitalik and Darren Larimer, much like present times.

The discussion shifts to DeFi, underscoring its evolution over the years. Task notes that while concepts like DeFi were not as prominent in 2017-2018, their explosion in 2020 was noteworthy despite the subsequent decline due to market fluctuations. Despite this, he remains optimistic about DeFi's potential impact on the traditional financial landscape, drawing parallels to the early Internet innovators.

The narrative expands to NFTs, highlighting their rise and fall akin to the dot com bubble, comparing it to the exuberance and subsequent correction experienced in the early days of the Internet. Task emphasizes the difference between market trends and actual technological development, citing examples like Amazon, Google, and Netflix that emerged during the dot com era and later established themselves as significant players in the tech industry.

Moving on to Hive, Task discusses the platform's growth post the hard fork from Steem, acknowledging the community's progress in terms of scalability and user base. He credits the inadvertent positive impact of Justin Sun's entry, leading to community empowerment and network control. Despite the advancements, Task points out the distance Hive still needs to cover in achieving a network effect and expanding its user base.

Task concludes by drawing parallels between the status of robots today and their capabilities in 2012, indicating a similar trend of progress without significant advancement. He stresses the importance of patience and continuous effort, likening the journey of Hive and other technologies to the slow but steady evolution of overnight successes, signifying that true progress takes time.

In essence, Task's video delves into the dichotomy of progress and stagnation in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and tech space, urging for a patient and persistent approach in navigating the complexities of technological evolution and adoption.
