Technology: The Future Of Animation Is Not Hollywood

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

We are already seeing a streamrolling of Hollywood. Now, we get another aspect under fire: animation.

In this video I discuss how animators are finding life tough in Hollywood right now as studios adapt. The upcoming AI wave is only going to present a bigger problem, not only for the workers but also the studios, as it advances. This is one of the most widespread disruptions taking place before our eyes.

I feel really bad for animators. Not only are they underpaid for the difficulty of their job, but they are facing big competition with generative AI. A lot of them do it because it's their passion, so having things turn out this way is unfortunate, but inevitable. I do agree that Hollywood will lose their dominance in animation. They might have an advantage because of the different known IPs they have, but eventually success will depend on the story and execution of the movie/show.
