Full Time Hive: The Future of Many
What are you committed to? This is something that we each have to consider.
Of course, there are a myriad of answers depending upon what aspect of life we are referring to. There is health, career, relationship (family), and personal development. Each of these has a variety of subtopics that create a near endless list.
We also each have responsibilities. This also comes in many forms. It would seem the more areas that we check a box on the above list, the more responsibility that flows to us.
As they say, welcome to life.
Nevertheless, many of us are certain a grand change is underway. This is what some are calling Web 3.0. That is a futurist idea of where technology is taking us. Many equate it to the last industrial revolution which basically changed society.
Personally, I believe we are on a path similar. A more understandable correlation, in my view, is the Internet.
So let us take a look at this and what we can ascertain from it.
The Internet Changed Most Everything
The Internet was a tidal wave on society. There are few aspects of life that were not altered, at least in Western cultures. How we worked, played, interacted, and were entertained all were affected.
It is hard to believe that where we were 40 years ago. On the timeline of human history, this is a blink of an eye. Yet, we saw more advancement in the microprocessor age than we did in the previous 2,000 before that.
While it is impossible to separate computing from the equation, the networking of these devices, also knows as the Internet was crucial. This is what caused Mount Everest to burst (not literally).
It supercharged society to the point where, when smartphones showed up, it was game over for much of what existed before. Most industries were affected in some way with a number being obliterated.
There are many of us who believe we are standing on the edge of a move of at least similar proportions.
Web 3.0 - A Nuclear Bomb On Steroid
Web 3.0 is going to be a nuclear bomb on steroids. Without going into the major details, it is best to list what is being ascribed to this.
We are looking at the advancement of:
- blockchain and cryptocurrency
- artificial intelligence
- robotics
- genetics and biotech
- energy (perhaps nuclear fusion)
- spatial web
- mixed reality
These are just a few of the possible technologies that will factor into this. One of the keys is the most technological force every created: convergence.
While many of these are powerful on their own, the convergence of some of this is where things get crazy. That is how society changes completely.
Consider this: if you are in a developed country, picture your life without the Internet. There is a chance you cannot even pay some bills.
As we can see, Web 3.0 is a seismic shift.
Hive Is A Microcosm
Hive is a microcosm of this.
It is obvious that it is part of the blockchain/cryptocurrency category. This means Hive is actually a microcosm of a microcosm of this concept. We are but a piece of a much larger puzzle.
That said, we can see how some of the other components could potentially factor in. For example, artificial intelligence is going to be incorporated into any digital platform. We already see how automated services are forming. In fact, the idea of DEX, as an example, is automation.
The Internet is not live. Instead, it is a part of it. Most have our "digital lives" that we regularly engage upon. Again, this can be varied depending upon a number of factors such as demographics, career, and interests. Nevertheless, most of us are leaving some type of digital footprint, even if unknowingly.
Here is the analogy to Web 3.0. It is going to be a part of our lives albeit increasing in magnitude as compared to what went before.
That said, Hive is a piece of this. While it is not going to be the most dominating factor, it is a place where many of us are opting to build our foundation. With the lead of developers who are providing the technical infrastructure, a "new world" can be erected.
It is where many will opt to call home.
Full Time Hive
We discussed the network-state on a number of occasions. This is a valid concept, at least mentally, to operate from.
People are now discussing the attention economy. To me, this is really nothing new since all businesses were dependent upon the "eyeballs" it received. The goal was always to attract users/customers.
Nevertheless, with the rise of the digital world, this is taking on even greater importance. Where people choose to spend their time is crucial.
Here is where full time Hive enters.
As the ecosystem expands, people are going to be able to find more of what they need here. The most obvious component is income.
We cannot escape the fact we live in a monetary world. For the time being, until we reach a post monetary society (if we ever reach that), income is required. We all have bills to pay.
Can people earn a living on Hive? This is a question that is answered in the affirmative with a caveat: a few can.
Due to our size, it is still in its infancy. However, the early days of the Internet also saw small numbers who earned their living there. This, over time, did grow.
I would expect the same thing with Hive.
Another facet is entertainment (or engagement). Where do people go to communicate with each other? Assembly is a part of our experience. It is the foundation for social media.
As development occurs, are we going to see where Hive applications are used more on a daily basis?
Going further, we have information. The Internet because a treasure trove, bringing information to the world like never before. We saw how people changed where they got their news. Instead of broadcast television, Twitter or something like that became the go to source.
On a final note, we have communications. Here is where Hive excels. There is one piece to this puzzle that makes Hive 100% unique: permissionless.
Unless the interaction is face-to-face, all communication occurs only with permission. Whatever medium is used, someone has to approve if. This includes our phones, social media apps, or email. When we have to log in or have an account, the control is outside of us.
Hive offers something completely different. Using a key system, once an account is set up (on the blockchain), the user can log into any application. This means posting to the chain, without the need for anyone's permission. Here is where we have permissionless communication.
In Conclusion
Hive is an expanding ecosystem.
The future is going to be enjoyed by many as we see an expansion of what is offered here. While most focus upon money, which makes sense, the key is going to be the services that people can tap into.
Each day, we have many areas of life where we decide to focus our attention. Ultimately, it boils to us receiving what we need with each decision. As long as we are being fed what is desired, then we will make that our "home" for that area.
To illustrate, some are content watching broadcast television. Other prefer to spent hours on YouTube watching videos on subjects they prefer. Each receives what is desired if they keep returning.
Hive is going to be like this. We often talk about the development of applications (or games). This is what it boils down to.
Developing the ecosystem so they get what is needed.
It is at that point that people will go full time Hive.

Hive is the next big thing for sure.
True technology has evolved and is still evolving, from Web2.0 to Web3.0 and what we have going on here in hive is just the tip of the ice burg of what is to come years to come.
A lot taking place before we can see Web 3.0, as described here in action. However, we are moving closer. It is the convergence where it explodes.
Going to be a while on that. But we can do our part with Hive.
Yeah that's right.
Are you a full time hiver? :d
Yes although there are still a lot of non-hive things I use because we do not have the alternatives on here. We need a lot more video content on Hive. That is the first thing I see on the list.
We are getting digitalized day by day. Even what was once unimaginable. Ever since the invention of the microprocessor, everything has changed almost overnight. Anyway an ecosystem that supports us very well and has changed many lives. And more or less financially supporting everyone here.
Technological advancement creates a ton of wealth. Historically that was in the hands of very few. It is also deflationary so it does bring a lot of capabilities to people that were previous out of the price range.
There are currently only a smallish number of people making a living via Hive. With a higher token price, that could change fast. Even a modest 10x or so back to our ATH would significantly boost that number. Sure, most would be from developing countries. But that’s where the need is greatest. 50x or so and we’d be seeing lots of folks from developed countries doing the same.
From a monetary sense that is correct. As for the other aspects, we still do not have a lot of solutions. Still need to expand out video offerings a ton. Get people off YouTube and watching content here.
That is a quick example. But it is all a process.
Hive's potential is very large and is seen by its advanced technology as well as its community.
Great things are in store for us going forward, as we continue to evolve.
You hit the nail on the head...potentially.
The idea of "full-time Hive" is fascinating. While many users are already earning a passive income on Hive, it's clear that the platform is in its early stages, and as it continues to grow and develop, it could become a more important part of people's lives.
Sometimes, I also think of being a full-time hiver but then I think otherwise cause I can't get sure where it takes me.
It will be interesting to see how hive evolves in the future and how people choose to incorporate it into their daily lives.
It is more than just money although that is an option. It is how you choose to spend your time.
Definitely its more than just money as passion is also needed here. But money is important when the term "full-time" comes cause you can think of spending all your time at a place when you don't have to worry about money, right?
Interesting is the approach and the idea I think that it has potential more of to develop into a system where mainstream social media transformation is where Hive will shift into.
It may take years, but the way technological improvements are happening, there sure is hope that - the chain would expand.
Science and technology would be two of the sectors where hope is there that people would gather around to seek for employment. Thats what I believe.
This is going to go beyond social media. We are now talking about a lot of different avenues we are going down.
I strongly consider that HIVE is (and has been) a strong part of web 3.0 and will continue to be as such during the upcoming years. The very beautiful thing about HIVE is that sky is the limit when it comes to its growth and that's what makes it so unique and exciting of all blockchains out there. All the best and plenty of success here on HIVE and beyond!
It has its place, more in #web3 if we are going to be accurate with our terms. On that one, I think it is one of the leaders.
Indeed, it truly is one of the leaders and top of the top when it comes to blockchains and blogging, for certain, speaking primarily from personal experience! All the best!
Full time Hive work is difficult depending on where one is in the world. A close to living wage where I am from is $60,000. That would equal around 180,000 Hive assuming Hive price stays in the $.30 to $.40 range. Not to mention taxes are a pain in the USA assuming that $60,000 includes all taxes. Trying to convert Hive is also a major problem in the USA. Almost all Hive exchanges don't allow US citizens. I keep pushing for Evm integration so that there are better fee conversions. I want to see Hive have more liquidity.
More than just monetary. You are correct about the cost of living part of the equation. But we are looking at this from a holistic perspective.
I would love nothing more than to be able to dedicate myself 100% to Hive, although it already consumes a good part of my time and I earn income that goes beyond any average job in Cuba, I still cannot dedicate myself completely to it, although it is my idea to future I still have a lot of growing to do.
It will change in time.
I hope so, that's why I'm making an effort and working, participating in Hive and studying at the same time.

Dont know how to answer this. Please elaborate some more.
I tend to talk music and sci-fi reviews much here lately to not the biggest viewership. But I believe as I’m able to have the time to invest it’s going to give me an edge doing something more rare here once the crowds move in coming years.
I heavily agree with you! I can remember the days of me debating HBD peg with ya in 2021. Man I’ve come a long way and now have separate alt account just for holding HBD for extra security. These posts are very much appreciated along with the #HiveManiacsPodcast
I say make it official bake change!
Cheers 🍻 and thanks for doing what u do!
I think you mean #cryptomaniac although it could be called that since we dont do much more than talk Hive. LOL
And yeah we have come a long way since 2021. Times flies and development occurs.
Hive is a space for innovation, without a doubt. As it progresses we see new types of technologies, I believe that little by little we will see many new things here. The best thing about it is how it incorporates each one of them and people assimilate new transformations.
A very important aspect of what you said was the subject of understanding, banking and all those aspects. Everything goes through a progressive assimilation of the generations.
That is how it works. Slowly. Slowly. Then shit where did that come from.
Why stake is going to be important in the future if you are considering taking Hive full time. I think many will be forced to anyway due to lack of jobs and they will need another income from somewhere. I hope it happens and do believe it will take off at some point so growing the stake is key.
There are many pieces to the technology puzzle. I agree with you, I believe we have a solution here.
The idea of full-time Hive is definitely very appealing, but the caveat that comes up for me is how many "copycat venues" will spring up and make such a thing increasingly difficult, if any significant number of people start deriving the majority of their income from Hive.
Invariably, when "something good" springs up, a bajillion people want to "pile on," and I would be interesting to see if that "full time" thing will turn into the need to feverishly create content on 10-12 different platforms, in order to keep up with every greater numbers competing for the rewards pool(s).
=^..^=
We need more evergreen content on HIVE. We need more discussion, opinions, insights in the comments. There are amazing, well-written articles on here, but people stop engaging with them because they are outside the reward window.
Just a thought.
Although going full time hive is not something I can see myself being consistent at, I do want to start consistently spending 1-2 hours on hive everyday.
Focusing attention on Hive is a good investment of one's time and effort as it often leads to earning a reward that translate to money, I am in for Hive @taskmaster4450.
