The Important Of A Blockchain Like Hive With Future Technology
We have a major issue brewing. The power of mega-tech companies is growing by leaps and bounds. This is something that many are not discussing when it comes to the threat to individual freedom.
In this video I discuss Amazon's latest project that allows people to pay for purchases using their palm. The advancement of biometric data is getting concerning. Here is where something like Hive can help to offset some of what is taking place.

What Amazon is trying to do, is an invasion of privacy.for your palm to pay your bills that is to say that they have your biodata. and everything about in their database.

It is concerning but we still need the applications to be built here on Hive. Until they do that, I don't really see any alternative right now and people are giving up privacy for convenience.

paying for purchases with the palm of your hand is an excellent technology to avoid delays and thus speed up purchases
Blockchains offer a new way to ID yourself without using biometric data and also in an anonymous way if needed (like privacy networks such as Monero). This way you can transact without sharing specific data linked to you.

Technology advancements are great but all comes down to how they're used (or who has control of them!). We can certainly use tech for good but we do have to be vigilant and lead things in the best direction for all (well, not so much for the mega tech companies and governments ;)). Of course, blockchain is well placed be the (albeit imperfect at this point) solution.
