I agree for the same reason why emerging markets have a higher GDP than western nations aka opportunity these nations see the growth potential in adopting new ways of business. Where as the US and other western nations are locked into a certain mind set where if it isn't mainstream its not accepted. This is how come local farms are having such a hard time surviving everyone is comfortable with paying higher prices and crying about while not seeking ways to over come them.
I truly believe that blockchain has not been built for the west nor will it see a huge adopting rate until they are pushed to max pain which is loss of faith in their currencies, then they will begin to warm up to blockchain adoption.
Cardano tried a big push to bank the bankless in Africa, but the blockchain is still in its infancy. Hive offers an amazing amount of utility and potential that can be turned into real progress!
Cardano tried to make a typical top down approach.
With Hive, we have "boots on the ground". We are entering Ghana by having the people there embracing Hive and doing things for the communities in there.

You make a good point, access to dollars is very important, but especially important in places where dollars equal such huge sums of the national currency. It's amazing how many people on Hive and Leofinance replace their job income with their Hive income.

There was a time a guy made a bank deposit and the bank said they didn't see the money and he too didn't have the money...so the money disappeared...He went to complain in the bank and got beat up by the bank's security. Its an isolated incidence but a big one non the less.
Its still a difficult concept for people even when they are in crypto...Nigeria is one of the biggest users of crypto but people find it hard to come on board. I hope to see this workout anyway. It is beautiful what's going on in Ghana.
It is hard to get people to understand. However, the more people using it, for longer periods of time, and the easier it gets

That is the best thing for Hive to do because the less developing nations will see how useful it is. The money spent there is more likely to also be more impactful compared to the US due to the costs.
