Money 101: A Post- Monetary Society

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Why would I do a post monetary society video in a Money 101 section?

In this video I discuss this concept and show why it is important to truly understand money. A lot of what people refer to comes from conditioning in a scarcity world. Will abundance fix this? Not at all. There are generations of people who are reared to think a certain way.

I trying to understand this lecture. From what you are saying, the economy would be skyrocket in the future because of robots and AI.
But the use of robots can only be afforded by big corporations and companies. What do you think about small economic players like petty trading and small services as is common in developing economies?

With human's greed, I don't know if that is possible. As more advancements are found, humans will want or maybe NEED to have that immediately. Maybe it's a cure to new sickness, or something with very limited supply. There will always be those that can get to it first. Whether it is a ticketing system or lottery. Depending on the necessity, people can kill for them. I think the only time we will have a post money scenario, is if we have a fully functional metaverse, and people are just brains inside a liquid.

Robots and AI are very helpful innovations of this technological age. But though robots would affects economic activities, I think that will be possible with the bigger companies.

Summary:

In this video, Task discusses the concept of a post-monetary society under the Money 101 umbrella. He explains the history and purpose of money in facilitating trade and exchange of goods and services. Task looks towards the future, predicting that advancements in robotics and AI will lead to an age of abundance. However, he argues that money will still play a role in this post-monetary society due to human desires for products and services that may still be scarce. Task delves into the psychological aspect of money and scarcity, highlighting the need for a shift in mindset towards money and its value in order to reach a true post-money society.

Detailed Article:

Task delves into the concept of a post-monetary society, emphasizing the historical purpose of money being a medium for trade and exchange. He distinguishes a monetary system as a combination of accounting, communication, and settlement. Task sheds light on the evolving nature of money, attributing the control of ledgers to the advent of digital networks.

The discussion transitions to the potential of a post-money society driven by advancements in robotics and AI, propelling economic productivity and abundance. Task contemplates the idea that money may persist due to continued human desires for scarce or unique products and services, even in an age of abundance.

Task introduces the notion that a post-money society is reliant on a shift in mindset towards money's value, proposing that until there is a collective rearing in a realm of abundance where money is perceived as a facilitator rather than an attachment, a true post-monetary society may not be achieved. He touches on the psychological impact of ingrained ideas of scarcity and money, underlining the need for a generational shift towards a new perspective on money.

Moreover, Task extends the discussion to the role of technology in pushing society towards a post-money world while highlighting the psychological barriers that may hinder this transition. He draws parallels between historical skepticism towards new technologies and contemporary attitudes towards money, stressing the need for a shift in mindset to progress towards a post-monetary society.

In conclusion, Task emphasizes the psychological aspect of money, scarcity, and human desires as key factors influencing the journey towards a post-money society. He leaves viewers with a thought-provoking insight on the potential timeline and challenges in transitioning to a world where money no longer holds the same significance it does today.
