The Value Of A Hive Account

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

People do not realize that a Hive account has value. Simply by establishing a following, those people see all that person creates oncchain. At the same time, we see the ability to use a variety of applications, all with the same username and keys.

In this video I discuss how Hive's account management systme is a powerful base layer operation that manages all there is regarding that account. If it goes to the blockchain, it is tracked according to the account.

Sometimes we really all do mistakes and foolish things. Especially when we are young. So yes. This can count as a honest self analysis.

As HIVE expands, the ability to have a follower from leofinance follow you on ecency is going to be a much bigger deal.

When we have our own facebook type interface and our own projectblank it will even more useful.

That is true. There is a lot of things that are useful about the basic layout of Hive.

Having a strong account management system cannot be overstated. Content creators are going to love what takes place once we start getting more applications and games going.

This interlinking of everything is what makes Hive great, and like you say it is worth something, which the other platforms cannot provide.

The interlinking is nice but it makes all the front-ends compete for the SEO results right? I know you can pull which site it was posted from but I kind of think that each one ends up trying to get people from post from their own front-end.

Why are they competing? I mean yes where content was produced ends up giving credit to that site. This only makes sense.

But it doesnt take away that is someone gets a follower from one front end, it is still a follower and seeing the articles or comments.

To an extent, I think the front-ends are competing with each other on the SEO front because only 1 of them will show up in the search results? I feel that the different front-ends kind of dilutes the ranking for Hive a little bit.

Well more than one can show up in the search results but where the article is posted from will get preference.

It is not uncommon to see the same article on Hive.blog and Leofinance to end up on the same page.

Amazing, however it's mind-blowing to realise that once the keys are gone, the hive account cannot be recovered. It's one thing to see the account exists but not to be able to access it. Thank you for your presentation, sir @taskmaster4450 .

Well there is the account recovery system. This is one of the few that has it.

So if you have a backup person, the account should be able to be recovered.

Oh yeah, but those without a recovery account totally lose their account.

Hive is slow but it is continuous.
Just as you said value is not just overnight and we're on the path which inevitably lead to success.

Building is slow. This is something that does not happen overnight.

But as we have more of our foundation in place, more is being built. Thus, the impact only grows in my opinion.

Totally agreeable, with a solid foundation more can be built all the way up.

Just like Burj khalifa in Dubai, more floors are added just because the foundation can hold more.

5 years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. I bet we can get to the sources of V2K and RNM then. https://peakd.com/gangstalking/@acousticpulses/electronic-terrorism-and-gaslighting--if-you-downvote-this-post-you-are-part-of-the-problem

Summary:
In this video, the speaker discusses the value of having a Hive account within the context of the Hive ecosystem. He emphasizes the versatility and advantages of a Hive account, which allows users to seamlessly access various applications tied to Hive without the need to build separate followings on different platforms. The speaker also highlights the benefits for content creators, the growing importance of a Hive account for earning rewards, and the potential for a Hive wallet to serve various functions beyond blogging, such as in-game purchases, token access, and potential collaborations with other technologies like Lightning Network. Additionally, he touches on the evolving nature of Hive and the upcoming release of the Hive application framework, which is expected to streamline development processes for users and developers. The speaker contrasts the decentralized and permissionless nature of Hive with traditional social media platforms, underscoring the inherent value and security of a Hive account.

Detailed Article:
The video delves into the intricate details of the value proposition associated with owning a Hive account within the extensive Hive ecosystem. The speaker starts by highlighting the gradual but noteworthy evolution of Hive and its expanding functionalities, emphasizing that value creation in this realm is a long-term process that requires various pieces to fall into place. He articulates that having a Hive account opens up a multitude of opportunities, allowing users to access a range of applications tied to the Hive system effortlessly.

One of the key advantages of a Hive account, as highlighted by the speaker, is the ability for users, especially content creators, to maintain a consistent following across different Hive applications. Unlike traditional platforms where followers are platform-specific, on Hive, a follower's engagement transcends various Hive applications, creating a cohesive and seamless experience for both creators and their audience.

Moreover, the speaker discusses how certain Hive applications are now enabling access through email, Twitter, and Facebook accounts, reducing the initial barrier of needing a Hive account to engage with these platforms. This strategic move aims to onboard users more seamlessly and showcases the adaptability and user-centric approach of the Hive ecosystem.

The video also touches upon the burgeoning gaming sector within Hive, with prominent games like Splinterlands leading the way. The speaker underscores that Hive extends far beyond a mere blogging platform, offering users an array of gaming experiences and opportunities for in-game transactions with the integration of Hive's wallet system.

Additionally, the speaker sheds light on the upcoming release of the Hive application framework, slated for the end of the following month. This framework is anticipated to simplify development processes, particularly for users and developers without a deep understanding of blockchain technology, by seamlessly tying into Hive's account management system and database capabilities.

One of the critical distinctions drawn in the video is the comparison between Hive's decentralized and permissionless nature and the closed ecosystems of traditional social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. The speaker emphasizes the security and autonomy offered by a Hive account, underlining the risks associated with centralized platforms where user accounts and assets can be subject to sudden closures or restrictions at the discretion of the platform owners.

In conclusion, the speaker articulates the considerable value and potential growth opportunities tied to owning a Hive account, positioning it as a sound investment with the ability to unlock rewards, diverse functionalities, and a secure digital ecosystem for users within the Hive community.
