Tour To Lulusar Lake| Hunza Tour Diary

4th September 2024-It is Wednesday morning and we all are heading towards Hunza. Hunza a place close to China border, a region about which we always heard in stories, a region that is famous for hospitable people, place that is full of nature and tranquility. Indeed a region with ultimate beauty.

Along with my three friends, i stepped into a bus full of strangers. I was unaware that these strangers will soon become people of my acquaintance.

In my heart, i was carrying fear. I was afraid of heights, mountains, landsliding and everything related to it. Thoughts were disturbing me. I was pessimistic at that time. Questioning myself that i could return or not?

Once, i sat on my seat then i left every negative thought out of my mind. I burned all the pessimistic flames in my head. I tried to live the moment. I lived, fully.

We started travelling in the dark night and finally sun was lightening up the mountains around us. I couldn't sleep the whole night. I was packing my bag and also i was nervous about tour. I cannot define exactly that i was nervous or excited. Perhaps, it was the feeling in between both things.

I was sitting on the back seat and my fellows were sleeping. They were sleeping and i was pillow for them. I was sitting like a statue as my one move could disturb their sleep.

I wanted to go to washroom and thankfully driver stopped the bus. We all went down like sheeps are open to graze. After that, we had breakfast in the restaurant. Breakfast was just ordinary but i was hungry. After having breakfast, we again packed into bus.

Clouds were welcoming the new day. Scenery was awesome but the track was difficult. Driver was daring and adventurous. At one moment, i felt like we all are falling. Thankfully, we all survived 😂.

On every turn, there were bridges, waterfall and river flowing. This is not earth, infact it is heaven. I don't know what would be there in heaven but i have seen it in this region.

The green water surprised me. I wanted to go down and feel the water. My mind was not fully responding me. It was like i am living in my delusional life.

I assumed; how difficult life these mountainous people would be living? But for them this life is easy and they are living the real life. They have different techniques to cope up every season. They have different ways to cultivate their land. In plain areas,we have fields but in mountain areas they own mountains. Isn't it interesting?

The heights of the mountains make one think as if the mountains are kissing the clouds or perhaps the two are embracing each other.

A single sound made in these mountains will go far and will continue to echo. These areas are special because there is no noise. In these areas, people live, not those who spend.

I was thinking about the lives of the hill people, how lucky they are to live in such a pleasant environment.As soon as our bus covered a short distance, shepherd was walking along the road with his sheep.

I could not sleep last night but during the day there was no sleep in my eyes because I lost my sleep somewhere seeing the beauty of the mountains.

Moreover, the internet was not working there, so it meant that I could not even use the mobile phone. That's why I was enjoying more and involved in the moment.

Long distance was covered and we reached Lulusar Lake. This lake is largest natural lake in hazara region of Pakistan.

As soon as I got off the bus and saw the lake, I felt like I had entered a painting. It was like a magical environment around me.

For a few moments, I didn't believe I was in the real world, but when I heard the voice of my tour guide, I believed I was still alive.

Our tour guide said that the oxygen level is low towards the lake, so you all have to take small steps and if anyone has any problem, they should get back on the bus.

With joy and excitement, I took quick steps towards the lake but the result was that I gasped and felt as if I could not breathe.

Seeing such a place, one forgets all the tension, worries and depression of the world.

This smile was coming out of my heart. It is not superficial Iike my other smiles. It's real after seeing real world.

It's a place created with magic. Isn't it? I met so many foreigners over there. I talked to them and asked their experience in Pakistan.
