Throwback to Dinner at Restaurant| I was up and stuck πŸ˜‚

Hey everyone!

On 2nd November 2024, We went to Lahore. It was our class tour. There were 48 students packed in the bus, but we were out of control. We visited historical places in Lahore.

It is the last part of our Lahore tour but posting it early. So look at this post through my words.

I was done by walking but pretending that I was fully energetic and enthusiastic. Sleep was making me feel drowsy again and again. I was feeling so low that I could fall anywhere. My battery was fully drained. The only thing that my body demanded was a full night's sleep.

I was deprived of sleep since last night. I kept open my eyes as I didn’t want to miss any moment out of sight. It was a time of 8'O clock at night. I can't confirm the situation of others, but I am sure that I was starving for dinner. Dullness running wild through our skin.
Even walking was difficult for me. But, I walked out of my capacity. I smiled out of my power and talked to everyone.

Entering "Dera Restaurant" was a fresh-air experience. I was drained after walking the whole day, but as the door of Dera Restaurant opened, I smiled. This smile was the result of my eagerness and curiosity. This smile was also because I was eager to eat.

An Uncle with up and stuck mustaches welcomed us by saying "Jee Ayan Nu"(Most Welcome)!

His style helped my thoughts to run toward the Movie's realm. Pakistani movies had the legendary character of Maula Jutt. Maula Jutt's character is eternal in the Lollywood film industry. Uncle's style of carrying himself with a red turban and a long stick in his hand was similar to Maula Jutt.

The theme of the restaurant was a pure Punjabi Village. The setting, environment, and ambiance delivered a sense of a typical Punjabi cultural environment. Although from outside, I was hearing the heavy horns sound of cars, trucks, and traffic, I was living the moment of being inside the beautiful red environment.

I sat with my friends at the dining table, but the food was not yet ready. I stood up and started taking some pictures in the restaurant. Taking pictures was a deliberate attempt to keep my thoughts diverted. Otherwise, Rats were jumping badly in my stomach. My taste buds were dying out of starvation. I kept on distracting myself until dinner arrived at our table.

Yummy... Dinner is lavish and tasty. I can bet I could eat anything at that moment. But, It was delicious Chicken Karahi and Kabuli Pulao with mashed boiled carrot over it. The feel of dinner was alive with me even after one hour of having dinner. The vibe of the food was strong. Ummmmmm!

Oh dear diary, I forgot one important thing to mention. Two magical people ✨️ who made the dinner super special. These two magical people were playing music with "Tabla and Flute". They went to each table and played soothing music. The flute sound was running briefly through my spine. I could close my eyes and sleep there while listening to this beautiful sound. This all thing was wholesome of the dinner. It shifted my thoughts and my attention.

A waterwheel was an astonishing thing and a treat to my eyes. I stood by it and kept on observing the synchronized movement of the wheel.

One thing is super clear I always try to take one picture wherever I go. Here's that one picture with the wooden door of Dera Restaurant.

I thought that I would feel energetic and good after having dinner. But, I felt like I was drunk. I was acting weirdly as I was deprived of sleep. Every single thing was looking double to my eyes. I was living in allusion. Don't ask what happened further. Whatever happened was funny and exhausting, but I slept after reaching home.

Still, I am not over the Lahore trip and Dera Restaurant. It's added to the list of my favorite restaurants in Lahore city. It's a big thanks to the CR of our class and to my friends, especially "Basit Ali ❀️."

Thank you so much for reading my blog πŸ’«.

Hey bro! I feel the same way about special moments like this, but you have to sleep, even if it's just for a couple of hours, otherwise how do you really enjoy the trip? Anyway I see that you did very well, the place you chose for dinner looks fabulous and I like that despite the tiredness you always had the energy to smile. You are living a good time, I'm glad for that and I hope life has more adventures for you in the future. Thanks for being part of #tbt Thursdays.

I always put energy to smile at every moment. Smile can do wonders. By the way, after coming back home, I slept like a cat. It was wholesome sleep for me as I forgot everything.

What a colorful place, I've always wanted to learn more about Pakistani culture, there's little talk about eastern countries here. I was surprised that it was set in a Punjabi style, are they really that colorful? Is the gentleman who welcomes you a typical character from what I understand, or just from Lollywood movies? Wow, that's a lot of questions haha sorry, it looks like you had a good time and took some great photos, great!
