Three Mountain Junction, Rakaposhi View Point and Nanga Parbat
If you spend a few days in a place and your experience is very good, then you don't want to leave that place.
Something similar happened to me. I spent five days in Hunza with my group, but when it was time to go back, I wanted to spend my whole life here. I didn't want to go back home. A person's home is comfort zone, but many times you run away from your home.
On this return journey we had to stop at three main points. The first point is Rakaposhi view point.
Obviously, we can only get some scenic views of this gigantic and mighty mountain as we cannot hike it. I have listened a lot about Rakaposhi mountain. It's a mountain full of snow.
Our bus passed from mountains, valleys and crossed many turns. Finally, we stopped in a market which is located Infront of Rakaposhi view point.
Behind the market, There was a board on which detailed history about Rakaposhi Glacier viewpoint was mentioned. Sorry, I didn't read that board because I was in so much hurry. I noticed that board has so many languages over it. Probably, these languages include English, japanese, polish, Chinese and others. It shows that there are many foreigners to this region and area.
Oh, there was another board for Rakaposhi mountain's history and speciality. I read that Rakaposhi is the only mountain on the earth which descends directly to base for almost 6000 meters. This is surprising that I am visiting more like a marvelous place on Earth.
I was standing across the wooden bridge looking at the wooden chair on the other side. The stream was flowing and of course the glacier was melting. I was accompanied by my friend who seemed eager to take pictures. He requested me to take some pictures of her. Obviously I had to obey her order. I took few of his pictures on the bridge and after that I walked on the bridge and crossed the stream. Stream was making beautiful sound, sound of water splashing and striking against the heavy and small rocks.
Trees who were standing aside the stream were also making sound. I was enjoying the natural environment around me. I sat on a rock and my friend clicked a photo of me but he never sent it to me. My friend also went back to bus but I was still there besides the stream. It was more like a dream.
The noise of the river water is very calm from the many noises of the world. I was sitting on the bank of the stream, engrossed in my thoughts, when suddenly a couple came and distracted me.
I got up from desk and started observing things around me. On my left side the stream was flowing but on my right side a family was sitting and right next to them was a clay shop in which a man was making rotis(Pakistani breads)in the (tandoor) oven.
The sun was quite hot so I stood in the shade of a tree to protect myself from the sun and again looked at the stream.
I came back from the stream and went to the balcony of a hotel. I waved at a stranger and he clicked my photos. I love to interact with strangers. I am planning to have my next tour only with strangers. These sort of tours and trips will bring solid experience with them.
Strange faces soon become familiar ones. I talked to many strangers on this particular trip. Initially, I was not talking to them . I was more like "my vibe is not matching to these strange people" but soon I became friendly with them. I became so much friendly that I even danced Infront of them 😂.
While, I was going back in the bus, I stopped at a local shop and saw many cultural items in the shop. I went inside and tried regional cap with peacock feather.
Even the shopkeeper was really kind and friendly. There were many different and unique stones in his shop. Out of curiosity, I asked him about different stones. He mentioned me the prices of some stones. Prices were really high.
Two black and golden deers were saying me good bye from Rakaposhi view point. In middle, a Markhor, which is Pakistan's national animal, was standing.
Now, we started our journey towards another spectacular mountain view point. Our next destination was Three Mountain Junction". It took almost one and half hour to reach our next destination.
Three mountain junction is a point where three mountains hugs each other. It's also the same point where two rivers "Hunza river" and "The mighty Indus River" meet together.
Clouds were floating above the mountains. The mashup of clouds and mountains was really beautiful. At this point, it started little raining. Although I became happy with rain but in my heart I was getting fearful. I became afraid of heavy rain and landsliding.
Due to the long journey, I was feeling hungry again and again. I went to the local shop and bought a biscuit there. Eating biscuits could not satisfy my hunger but could entertain my heart.
After eating the biscuit I went down the stairs and tried to go near the river but there were no stairs leading to the river rather the stairs ended before the river.
Well, after this point, we stopped at a hotel where our buses were to be exchanged. Apparently, the buses were also changing with the passengers. I didn't want to say goodbye to these passengers because I had a lot of experience with these passengers.I hugged my travel buddies. I said them a warm and a cold good bye to them with a desire to meet them again.
I laughed so hard with these strangers who became friends of me. It was really a journey to make friends.
We had biryani in hotel. It was really spicy and crispy. Although, I do like biryani but these days I am avoiding crispy things because of my health.
After having biryani, we headed towards Nanga Parbat view point. Nanga Parbat is also mountain in northern areas of Pakistan.
Nanga Parbat is ninth highest mountain in the world and it's second highest peak after K2 in Pakistan. Nanga Parbat is also known as killer mountain because of high fatality rate.
Nanga Parbat was our last spot of the day. Then we headed towards Chillas city to stay for a night. Tragedy was waiting for us. We got stuck in traffic. Traffic was jammed because of massive landsliding. Other travelers of our bus were waiting at another point. They were waiting and we were stuck.
Bus was standing still and we were only six in the bus. Believe me, I was afraid that any heavy rock will come. It will hit me and I will be no more. These type of ideas were coming in my mind. After a while, I became normal and I went out of the bus to have some air. Many passengers and travelers were out of their buses. It was more like an atmosphere of gathering.
A car driver had a drone with him. He used drone to know the situation of the road. I stood by him and closely observed how drones capture videos and update the people. It was first time experience for me. Although, everything was happening with me for the first time.
I sat with other passengers who were strangers to me. I talked to them and got to know about their life. Local people were clearing the way.
I saw that and old man came out of car and started clearing the road. He was picking all the rocks on the road. I got inspired by him and I also accompanied him in this kindness act.
It was getting late and night was coming. Hours and hours still we were stuck in the traffic. It was not the landsliding which caused the traffic jam but it was overtaking of ill mannered drivers. In hurry, everyone was like to surpass other. In this hurry, traffic was jammed. Police and local people were helping to set every vehicle stand in a queue.
I was getting bored but to lift away this environment, I played song and danced in the bus. We created some reels and spent some quality time with strangers.
At 10'O clock, we managed to reach our other fellows. We all were very tired but fun must go on. We still were dancing and vibibng to songs. Other fellows in the bus were having some lame jokes. I was laughing on some jokes too 😉. In the middle of night, we reach our hotel to stay. Before going to sleep, we had really good dinner. We had tea and after that we went to our rooms.
We played ludo in the room, yelled a lot and enjoyed it. Somehow night went out. It was a tired morning. I was like "I just wanna go back home"
It's the next day and a new morning in the mountains. Still, these mountainous roads are not ending. Frankly, I was more tired of these mountains. I just wanna go and lay down on my home's bed.
Unfortunately or fortunately, bus stopped. Some got wrong with bus. Driver was so stubborn that he didn't call any mechanic. My fellows were also tired and they were angry on bus driver and tour guide.
Instead of backlashing the driver and tour guide, I went to enjoy the environment, mountains and people around me.
A beautiful stream was flowing in between mountains. There was a wooden crossing. I trembled to cross it as it was timid and weak but once my fellows crossed it. Then I got courage and I crossed it. Even I sat on this wooden crossing.
There was a little kid who was grazing his buffaloes and cows. He clicked my picture over there. He was curious to see mobile phone. He said; "could you please capture my photo?". I clicked his photos and I asked how you will get these photos? He replied that no one has phone in his home. It was a strange thing to know that in this era of technology, no one is having touch mobiles. Still, it was good to know that his family members and he is living pure life.
My friends were wandering like other buffaloes. I mean they were making reels. They drank the water of springs. I didn't.
On the other side, friends were bathing in the water of the stream. I was listening to their noise. They were saying that "water is very cold, it's freezing".
He was that local kid who was grazing the buffaloes and cows. He was carrying a stick and wearing plastic shoes. I talked to him and got to know a lot about him.
After that, I went to my bus. Bus driver was still repairing the bus. In the mean time, I talked to a German Girl who married a Pakistani boy. She was having pomegranate and seeing around her. She waved at me and she asked about my city. She said "you look more like indian!". I said "No, I am Pakistani". At first I thought that she is traveler or tourist for the first time but to my surprise she said that she is living in Pakistan.
She went and then I talked to other foreigners. It was nice experience to talk to foreigners.
It took one hour almost to repair the bus. We again started traveling back home.
It was such a tour which frightened me a lot but I gave me really life-changing experience. I got to know about so many people, places and things.
See you next 🌺

The view is phenomenal. I really want to visit there but now I’m a little afraid too.🫠
