My First Experience in Orange Line Train

It's a train which initiated as project signed between Pakistan and China. This train is inter city train and also Pakistan's first driverless train. It's also known as orange line. It's also first metro train of Pakistan. From it's opening in 2020, i was curious to travel in this train but today in 2024 i got chance to have a short trip in this train.
I took ticket of fourteen station. I was with my friend and our destination was Anarkali Station.

After taking tokens for our trip we went to platform via accelerator. My friend took me to wrong platform and even we headed towards wrong station. When we reached our station then we were surprised that it is not that station where we were supposed to go. Then we again bought tokens and went to platform for another time.

On second time, i got another chance to observe the station minutely. There was a screen above which was showcasing the details of arrivals and departures. Moreover, there are announcements too from management for the departure and arrival of trains.

The good thing is that there is not many people and not any kind of crowd. So it looks a smooth and relaxing journey.

There is a boundary around the area of trains to protect humans. As it was my first time so i was unaware of it. Although i noticed yellow color line but out of curiosity i crossed it. Suddenly, a person came and stopped me. I retreated myself and came back.

Finally, i am here inside the train. The inside is clean and clear. I was impressed by the silence of the people and cleanliness of the train. It was different from what i actually imagined.

There were many screens on which commercials and announcements were going on. These commericals are for the sake of spreading awareness among the masses.

I captured some clicks from window. There are many striking differences between this train and the other traditional trains in Pakistan. Other trains are working in the country since colonial time period with outdated engines, machinery and system. There is much much need to put attention on local train system of the country. It wouldn't be wrong to say that train system of the country is taking it's last breaths.

Well, after an hour, we reached Anarkali Station where our friend was waiting for us. Also my stomach was cursing me for keeping it hungry.

The time when i came out was really pleasant. The weather became rainy. Clouds were shifting their shapes and structures.

It is historical area which hold so much significance for it's preserved historic architecture. I just came to Lahore to mesmerize myself with architectural beauty of it's old buildings.

I clicked one selfie to keep in my gallery as a sweet memory. Time will fly and this will become a cherished memory of my short trip of orange train.
