Como dice una famosa canción: "lo que pasó pasó", también hay un par de palabras que aplican para este caso: "pasado pisado".
Lo cierto es que lo que sucede sólo nos sirve para tomar lo que tengamos que aprender y seguir adelante, no para quedarnos anclados en él.
No creas, mientras escribo estas líneas, una voz interna me dice: no olvides aplicar esto que dices.

As a famous song says: "what happened happened", there are also a couple of words that apply to this case: "past trodden".
The truth is that what happens only serves us to take what we have to learn and move on, not to stay anchored in it.
Don't believe it, as I write these lines, an inner voice tells me: don't forget to apply what you are saying.
Y es que tengo el mal hábito de traer cosas de mi pasado al presente sólo para molestarme, porque en realidad es algo que no me aporta nada positivo.
A veces pienso que hay elementos que sí vale la pena tener presentes, como cuando alguien te ha mentido en diversas ocasiones, creo que es mejor no olvidar lo propensa que es esa persona a mentir, para evitar caer en su juego.
Pero entiendo que lo más sano es, por ejemplo en ese caso, aprender a ser precavidos, sin que asociemos esa acción preventiva a una persona o a algún sentimiento negativo.
Una vez más, pienso que cada uno de nosotros debe hacer su parte y lo que haga el otro es su responsabilidad.
I have a bad habit of bringing things from my past to the present just to annoy me, because in reality it is something that does not bring me anything positive.
Sometimes I think that there are elements that are worth keeping in mind, like when someone has lied to you on several occasions, I think it is better not to forget how prone that person is to lie, to avoid falling into their game.
But I understand that the healthiest thing is, for example in that case, to learn to be cautious, without associating that preventive action to a person or to some negative feeling.
Once again, I think that each of us must do our part and what the other does is his or her responsibility.
Y después de estas líneas de reflexión, compartiré un poco de mí día.
Me desperté a las 5 A.M. y no pude volver a dormirme, considerando que es sábado y que me dormí después de las 12 A.M., no es la hora a la que hubiera querido despertarme. No sé si me puse ansiosa por saber que hoy iría de compras con mis hijos, porque es algo que me genera mucha emoción, como si fuera una niña que va en busca de juguetes nuevos.
Me quedé en la cama dando vueltas hasta que mi esposo se levantó.
Desayunamos y salimos al centro a comprar algo de ropa para mi hijo y mi esposo, ya que mi hija y yo nos encargamos de adquirir la nuestra ayer.

I woke up at 5 A.M. and I could not go back to sleep, considering it is Saturday and I fell asleep after 12 A.M., not the time I would have wanted to wake up. I don't know if I got anxious knowing that today I would be going shopping with my kids, because it's something that generates a lot of excitement in me, as if I were a little girl going in search of new toys.
I lay in bed tossing and turning until my husband got up.
We had breakfast and went out to the center to buy some clothes for my son and my husband, since my daughter and I took care of getting our own yesterday.
Fuimos a una tienda llamada "El Palacio del Blumer" donde encontramos buenas opciones en ropa deportiva para el día a día de mi hijo y también mi esposo pudo encontrar algo para él. Luego fuimos a Traki, otra tienda popular, donde concluimos nuestra aventura de compras. En total gastamos alrededor de 170 dólares, porque elegimos bastantes artículos en oferta.
Les cuento que yo había comprado vía online, en EEUU, lo que todos en casa usaríamos para las fiestas decembrinas, pero lo pedí muy tarde y el paquete no llegó a tiempo al casillero de Florida y ya la empresa de envíos que lo traería hasta mi ciudad, me avisó que no llegaría hasta enero, por el volumen de entregas que se hacen en diciembre.
We went to a store called "El Palacio del Blumer" where we found good options in sportswear for my son's day to day life and also my husband was able to find something for him. Then we went to Traki, another popular store, where we concluded our shopping adventure. In total we spent around $170, because we bought quite a few items on sale.
I had bought online, in the USA, what everyone at home would use for the Christmas holidays, but I ordered it too late and the package did not arrive on time to the mailbox in Florida and the shipping company that would bring it to my city, told me that it would not arrive until January, due to the volume of deliveries that are made in December.
Nuestra siguiente parada fue McDonald's, para consentir a mis soles con la promoción de barquilla y papas medianas por 2 dólares.
Por fortuna, mi suegra nos había invitado a comer sopa y llegamos a su casa un poco después de las tres de la tarde. Fue entonces cuando almorzamos.
Como dormí poco yo estaba que me dormía. Regresamos a casa y pensé en conciliar el sueño, pero mi hija me invitó a ver una serie y no pude negarme.

Our next stop was McDonald's, to spoil my soles with the $2.00 waffle and medium fries promotion.
Fortunately, my mother-in-law had invited us for soup and we arrived at her house a little after three in the afternoon. That's when we had lunch.
As I had little sleep, I was fast asleep. We returned home and I thought about falling asleep, but my daughter invited me to watch a series and I couldn't refuse.
I love every moment I can share with my children and I feel lucky to always be surrounded by their arms.

Por cierto, ya casi olvidaba mencionar que hice mi acostumbrado power-up, esta vez del mes de diciembre, pero no gané la insignia porque no lo hice a tiempo, tenía que ser el primer día del mes. Fue la única vez que me sucedió en este 2023, por lo tanto tengo las insignias de los otros 11 meses del año.

Así es omaira74, eso es lo más importante y es lo que más agradezco a Dios.
Lo del power up es para aumentar el HP o poder de la cuenta, de manera de ayudarla a fortalecerse, para que en un futuro nuestra influencia en el ecosistema valga más. Me gustaría tener el dinero suficiente para invertir y ser ballena, pero como no lo tengo, voy a mi ritmo 😅.
