I understand that the Berserk manga is one of the best ever created, pity about the author's death, although supposedly his assistant is going to finish his work with everything the creator left, let's see how it ends.
As for the anime I've seen that it has several adaptations and only the old one is decent, the new ones have a CGI that is quite ugly.

I also prefer the old one, the current one seems too embellished, I've also seen the movie which summarizes the story a bit.
