A night of thunder. ☆

In my photographs today I tell you that...

Darkness had taken over the night. Not just any night, but one so dark and thick that it felt as if the night itself were real, as if it could envelop you and swallow you whole in its black blanket. The stars, which used to be like little bright lights in the sky, could not be seen because thick, terrifying clouds covered the sky like a group of ghostly soldiers. The air, still and heavy, vibrated with a palpable electricity. A silent tension hung in the air, preparing for the storm of emotions that was about to erupt. Out of nowhere, a bright bolt of lightning split the night, briefly turning everything into a scene straight out of a Chinese movie. The roar of thunder wasn’t long in coming. A loud, powerful rumble that made the ground beneath our feet tremble. It felt like the night had split open, making a deep, throbbing noise that resonated through your body and made you think about how powerful nature can be. And then, the rain. A sudden, violent downpour unleashed its fury on any surface it encountered. The large, cold drops hit the ground like small missiles, making a wild, splashing music. The wind was wild and strong, causing the trees to sway. And they bent until they almost touched the ground, tearing off leaves and branches. The darkness that was once omnipresent was now pierced by sharp, intense flashes. Lightning showed a strange, twisted world, where shadows moved wildly, creating strange, short-lived shapes. The rain hitting anything, with thunder in the background, created a mix of beautiful and scary music, like an acknowledgement of the wild side of nature.
