Morning meeting🥰

I visited Ohrid and walked around Lake Ohrid...
I usually first walked along the promenade that leads to the city center.

Later, the guide showed me the way to the other side of the lake where you can swim on a small beach, which can be reached via a bridge...

..the bridge crosses a wide canal where sailboats and boats are anchored...... There was a nice view of the city across the canal....You can see the size and beauty of the lake here...

The morning after breakfast, I decided to explore that path and see that beach, where you could enter the water....

I enjoyed watching the boats passing by on the top of the bridge, and a couple of swans also found refuge here....

I found that beach, but it was occupied by people fishing... I didn't see anyone swimming. But maybe it was too early for swimming?!

A little further on I came across a strange scene... A cat was getting ready to catch a grebe...

I approached to chase the cat away, but neither it nor the bird moved 🤭

Only when I got close to them did the cat retreat a little and the bird looked curiously... I returned to the path and watched the scene a little longer....in the end the bird moved deeper into the water and the cat remained longing for food...

On the remains of the old wooden pier, grebes lined up...they stood like that, as if they wanted to warm themselves in the morning sun...

The morning was fresh, but I picked up my pace... To get as far as possible and see what was on this side.......

I took the most photos of the view across the lake towards the city....
