Golubac Fortress 🥰

A walk on a rainy day to the Golubac Fortress, which I haven't visited since it was renovated and opened to the public.

Somehow this year I'm visiting everything in a hurry and I don't spend as much time as I would like in one place.

I was here for about an hour, and the weather didn't allow more, because first we waited for the downpour to stop.

And then we walked to the fortress and visited only one part. The other part was not open to the public...

Although it was short, I enjoyed the tour, and briefly stayed in the past... How they once defended themselves from enemies, guarded their land.

They built a fortress in a good place, at the entrance to the Đerdap gorge, from where they have a view of the Danube...

Here it would be nice to spend some time shopping, watching the Danube and the fortress.....how they defy time...

I hope you enjoyed this short walk, which went back in time for a moment..
