Bright yellow mushrooms that I met in the forest.... On one of my autumn walks...
I couldn't avoid them, they just called me to take their photos...
I have never come across such a bright yellow color of mushrooms....
I found them very sweet...
After them I came across a huge amount of turkey's tail π€
I guess they really liked this part of the forest, when they made such a big colony....
I read a little about mushrooms and came across a few interesting things....π
"One mycologist, a scientist who studies mushrooms, has a joke that says, "All mushrooms are edible, but most can only be eaten once." In fact, only 600 of the current 600,000 mushroom species are edible."
The turkey tail mushroom is considered to be medicinal, and that means edible... although I also read that some experts believe that it does not have any medicinal properties.... I have not used it, nor have I tried it.... Have you had any experience with this mushroom?
"The relationship between mushrooms and witchcraft has a long history, as some poisonous mushrooms do not kill people, but have arousing or hallucinogenic effects, which were used in the cult of ancient witches. As an example of this, a witch's ring is a ring of mushrooms that appears in a clearing in the forest and is technically called an "aril"."
"The wicker baskets used by pickers have an ecological reason: to help the mushrooms reproduce. When we put the mushroom in the basket, it releases spores, and as we move in the forest, these spores will fall to the ground through the holes left by the woven fabric for us to distribute."
A huge colony of mushrooms covered the dry tree and made a beautiful decoration...
I hope you enjoyed this walk, and interesting things about mushrooms π₯°π
Thank you very much for visiting my blog π
Have a nice evening β¨
nice fungi
Thanks a lot @philpotg π
I love the pictures as much as I loved reading those interesting facts about mushrooms.
Iβve heard about turkeys tail and other mushrooms medicinal properties, but since Iβm not sure how to prepare them, I havenβt tried making any concoctions yet πππ
