A giant bowl
(Langermania gigantea)
I once wrote to you about this giant mushroom... Which reminded me of a boletus
(lat. Cucurbita pepo)
The giant bowl is tied to the ground by one small root.... It is easy to remove....
Only this round beauty is soft and spongy. The first time I saw her I was amazed. Even when I read how rare it is to come across when it is white and beautiful to eat...
The first time I didn't bring home a single mushroom, because I didn't know if it was edible.... This is the second time we came after two weeks... there wasn't much left from the mushroom field....
We found only one white one and the rest were shriveled and yellowish...brownish....which are no longer edible....
I also came across one that was broken by either a deer or a wild boar and the spongy inside was visible.. With prints of the animal that did it... Maybe a deer after all?!π€
One started again and here is my catch...
Here's what a shriveled mushroom looks like after many rainy days...
You think it's a different kind of mushroom...
And now here are the prepared mushrooms, fried and grilled....
This is how it looked before it was ready to eat.
After lunch, we determined that it is better fried...
The walk made us hungry, so we quickly got down to eating
Thank you very much for visiting my blog π₯°
Have a nice day βοΈ
