  Officer George, walks slowly making his afternoon rounds through the desolate spaces of the old port, where there are only empty warehouses waiting for their next demolition, the sea mist becomes denser, almost completely preventing visibility, a cold that numbs everything in its path goes up his legs, wetting the thin apprentice uniform he is wearing, which barely manages to protect him from the weather. It is not a great training work to walk through this dead place stinking of old fish, but that is the punishment assigned to him for his lack of performance in the physical tests of the academy, which placed him in a very difficult situation, to the point of almost being expelled.

  The sun begins to set on the horizon at the end of this gray afternoon, without the sound of a single soul disturbing the peace of his journey, suddenly the piercing cry of a woman in the distance asking for help, puts all his senses on alert as he tries to find the source of the sound in the vastness of this place, As he shines his flashlight to dispel the fog that has become an embracing blanket all around him, among the debris of an old gate he sees the dark silhouette of something tall and stout running at full speed in a violent flight, at first he tries to chase him, but quickly loses track of him.

  However, his nerves begin to attack him making him feel a piercing fear that makes his whole skeleton tremble, beyond the icy air that circulates at ground level, the inexperienced policeman knows very well inside that he is not prepared to face a situation like this, his only defense weaponry is a wooden stick and a hand lamp, so at the total mercy of the evil whims of the thing that disappeared before his eyes between the gray curtain, the sound of a forced breathing and a smell of metal floating in the air, make him recover his vocation of service and begins the search for a possible injured person.

  At the back of the building, he finds a terrifying scene, a lady lying on a pool of water bleeding and partially naked, no doubt the wounds come from a sharp weapon that, in a sadistic way, gave her multiple stab wounds after doing with the poor woman everything he wanted, in the infinite solitude of these buildings in disuse. As he approaches the victim, he can hear her last breath as she mumbles a word in an incomprehensible language. George tries to help her without any success and a few seconds later the girl dies, but not before showing him something that he kept with suspicion in his fist, as if it were a clue of great importance to clarify the murder, it was a coffee bean.

  After the press arrived, who promptly dubbed the case into newspaper headlines as the coffee bean killer. George, as much as he turned his thoughts trying to contribute something more to the investigation, remembered something else that he immediately shared with the homicide detectives, whom he asked to allow him to collaborate with the case, which they accepted, since they were short of money.

  The woman's identity was scarified, she was a Russian prostitute who made her living in the port, so that was the starting point of the investigation. George took things quite personally as he interviewed the victim's co-workers trying to get more information that would lead him to the killer, it was then that he remembered the word she said to him before she died, "корабль" and began to ask what it meant, someone in the recesses of the brothel told him, — that means ship, but you're saying it wrong.

  George felt that if he discovered the relationship between the word and the coffee bean, then he would find the murderer, so he asked for support from the homicide detectives to check on the ships in the new port, if any had brought coffee, because if they located any with that cargo, the forensic laboratory could compare famous bean in the hand of the deceased with those brought to the new warehouses, allowing him to establish a hypothesis. However the events were much easier than they expected, only one ship had brought coffee to this port in months, and by the way, it had a Russian flag. Quickly, they asked for a warrant to check the crew and there they got a big surprise, the captain of the ship was missing since the same day of the incident, which made him the main suspect, but unfortunately he could never be caught and the murderer of the coffee bean, remains an unsolved mystery.

@susurrodmisterio

You need to review this paragraph - there's a repeat sentence in it...

Thanks:)

After the press arrived, who quickly baptized the case in the newspaper headlines as the Coffee Bean Killer, he remembered something else that he immediately shared with the homicide detectives, who asked him to collaborate with the case. George, as much as he was turning his thoughts around trying to contribute something more to the investigation, remembered something else that he immediately shared with the homicide detectives, whom he asked to allow him to collaborate with the case, which they accepted, since they were short of personnel.

Greetings dear friend, I'm sorry it took so long to answer your message but I had almost 8 hours without electricity, it happens that I live in a coastal area and we were hit by a strong storm last night that caused a lot of damage. Thank you very much for finding the error in the writing, I tell you that I already edited the post and corrected it, but it was not my mistake, the text in Spanish is perfect, it is the Deepp translator that originates that error and repeats the phrase, I checked it right now when I went to correct the error, that's why I preferred to translate the paragraph again using google where apparently the translation is correct or at least more acceptable. Again I apologize for the inconvenience these days have been very bad for me, I hope my bad luck ends soon. A hug.

Yeah, that's ok. I know it's the translation system.
I hope your power will be more reliable as soon as the storm passes.
Stay safe!

I think that what you raise in a good point, really the theme they chose for this contest was excellent to write several camilos of the development of a good story of serial killers, who knows maybe I will encourage me and write a continuation soon to tie some loose ends that were left in the plot, as always grateful for your support and that you read my content.
