Greetings dear friends coffee lovers, this is my participation in the #SPILLTHEBEANS CONTEST 8 for which I want to take the opportunity to invite friends @joalheal
"The Fight for Coffee" The coffee lady
The streets of the capital look sad and lonely, people have long since stopped smiling in the mornings, there are no spirits to start the day, and hope has simply vanished from people's souls leaving only an inner emptiness in a gray city where nothing grows, even the trees gradually dried up due to the indifference of a dictatorial government that submerged the inhabitants of this country in absolute decadence.
The dictatorship established a ban on the consumption and trade of coffee, with the sole objective of strengthening the absolute mental control over happiness, denigrating people, and undermining their civil rights to the point of turning them into servile slaves who live only to feed the pretensions of the leader, who proclaimed himself the prophet of the new times, taking power by force together with his group of cult followers, who consider all caffeinated drinks as a kind of drug without any scientific support and much less the approval of the people.
The light of a lit cigarette in a corner, announces the presence of a mysterious being dressed in a long trench coat and a hat as if he somehow wanted to hide his identity while reading a newspaper sitting on the public bench ignoring everything that happens around him completely hiding his face.
A few minutes later from the window of his apartment, a young lady notices the presence of the individual and hurries to get dressed to go down to walk her dog, looking quite excited, but trying to hide it with a gesture of sobriety, the heels of her shoes betray the somewhat hurried walk, hearing them tapping on the road, approaching cautiously, she places herself on the same seat without even turning to look at the man next to her, slyly carrying the dog on her knees and places a black leather bag next to her, without uttering a single word, then she gets up making it seem that she left the briefcase behind and walks away down the lonely street, camouflaging herself in the fog.
After finishing his cigarette, the man closes the newspaper and gets up, taking the black leather briefcase as if it were nothing, to start his way in the opposite direction to the one in which the beautiful woman walked, cleverly stops at several shop windows, to make sure through the reflection of the glass that no one is following him.
For a long time, this gentleman circulates among the few sad people that crawl like zombies through the streets, when he finally manages to be convinced that he is safe, he stops in what seems to be an abandoned car garage, again looks in all directions and then knocks with a particular tune on the old wooden door, to wait for an answer that allows him to manifest his secret identification code, after which the gate opens quickly letting him enter with the briefcase in his hands.
Inside the room, a group of men begins to come out from the shadows, grouping around the man of the order, for a few seconds absolute silence hovers around the place giving it a touch of mystery, while he, stares at each of those present directly in the eyes with an expressionless face, but then lets out a big laugh, finally showing them all the contents of the suitcase while he said to them:
— “The coffee lady has done it!”
— “We already have a 100% organic coffee crop inside her apartment, with the same technique that hydroponic systems used for years.”
— “Long live the resistance!”
To which everyone responded with great joy while touching with their hands the freshly harvested coffee beans that were worth more than gold.
Thus, in a short time, the streets regained life and joy as its citizens were secretly supplied with coffee.

Wow, what a mystery.
Excellent story and what an ingenious way to do the delivery of the precious coffee, for a moment I imagined the 50's movie type scene.
