Alien Bug Infestation - 3D Model - Short Story

avatar
(Edited)

From the log of the Hamal 9 research station.

We have another bug situation. This is the third this year, although the last inspection showed that we are definitely clean.
Staff have been finding bugs in various parts of the station lately. We have also lost another engineer, and I am afraid we may be dealing with a personnel strike if situation is not soon improved.
I personally saw a carrier hiding in the maintenance corridor. He caused a short-circuit there and fried himself along with his eggs. That turned our communication off-line for 3 days.
I fear for the safety of the staff, that's why in addition to the cleaning group I request a permanent military supervision on the station. I would really want to avoid what happened to the Arietis station.
We are asking for immediate support.

Chief of Operations, Anton A. Blake

Thank you Castleberry! Someone commented that the last one looked 'cute'. So I went 120% bug with this one.

That thing looks so cool, I'd love to learn how to sculpt in blender, I do some with clay, but having them done digitally would be amazing.

Thanks man! Traditional sculpting skills transfer pretty well to digital world I think. I would definitely try Zbrush or Blender. I love clay sculpting, but it was too long since I did it last time, probably got a bit rusty :)

A friend of mine was teaching me blender during lockdown, but we were only making rooms and stuff because he didn't know anything about sculpting.

I'm going to try get back into it and learn. I watch people do sculpting timelapses on YouTube making stuff on blender. Have you ever tried anything like that?

I have posted a few timelapses of me working on my sculpts on 3speak. There's no commentary there though, so probably wont be very useful as a tutorial. Good thing about Blender is the high number of good quality tutorials available online. Here's a pretty good starter level tutorial for Blender sculpting.

Me alegra tanto que te este yendo bien en estos post, la situación de las recompensas esta complicada pero es un buen numero para estos tiempo, sumado a eso se nota que te gusta lo que diseñas y la historia con la que acompañas tus creaciones.

I am enjoying these very much. I really do appreciate anyone who steps by. It is a mystery to me why some of similar post get a lot of attention and other not so much though. There's quite a bit left for me to learn about Hive.
