Puja

Puja is the Hindi word. It means worship.
We Indians in Suriname perform these rituals for the whole universe to be safe and healthy. The energy that flows through a Puja cleanses the whole atmosphere.

Below I'm posting some pictures of Wiradj doing this Puja ritual before his wedding day.

While the Pandit (priest) was searching for flowers, I got a fast moment to have a shot where Wiradj is looking towards me...

He is offering sweets and fruits during this ritual. This is known as Prasad! The taste of Prasad is always GREAT! It never disappoints.
