Timeless Classics: Songs That Destroyed Borders and Defined Generations

Good afternoon, I would like to write some music but it is difficult for me to choose a community because I don't know if they will appreciate what I write. For now I am not having much success, so I want to try here and see if people like what I write, but from what I see half of the users don't even stop to read and rate, it's a shame because there are very good posts on hive.

Well, back to what I was saying, I want to make a small critique of the music genre that is heard now and buy with lop that is most listened to in the world, I hope you like it

I've been looking for some information and found the 5 themes that stand out the most in 2024 and I'm going to compare them with 5 other themes that we always hear and we'll see the difference. So I'll start

At number 1 is “Just like an angel” – Kali Uchis & Peso Pluma:

A mix of synth-pop and dance-pop with hints of the 80s, but if you listen to the whole song you'll realize that you can't understand what he's singing, especially "Peso Pluma" who is the singer (what a name the guy gave himself...) so he didn't make his life complicated to choose this name.

Well, it's all a matter of taste, but the truth is that this song doesn't say anything to me.

And looking for something similar, I came across the old song:

"Amor Prohibido" - Selena (1994)

No comments, and it tells me that it was a big hit in the 90s, (well, the deaf would hear it, but I never heard it in my life)

At number 2 is “If I had met you before” - Karol G

Well well, this is another level, in this song we understand what she says, besides having a very catchy rhythm and great lyrics, it has it all. I think Karol G has a great future.

Old: "Hero" - Enrique Iglesias (2001)

Both are romantic songs that have been heard on the Latin charts. "Si antes te había conocí" highlights Karol G's style within the urban genre, while "Héroe" was a Latin pop classic that reached the top of the charts.

What do you think?

At number 3 is “La Capi” – Myke Towers

If you like salsa, this is your song (mine isn't). This rhythm has been introduced all over the world because it has very good marketing behind it. To be honest, I didn't listen to it when it came out, but of course we are evolving and we are increasingly using different types of rhythm.

Antigua: "Suavemente" - Elvis Crespo (1998)

Well, I'll correct what I wrote, since little by little this genre was played in the clubs and I have danced to this song a lot of times. Both songs were key to what was to come, with "La Capi" and "Suavemente" as great examples.

At number 4 is "You're Missing" - Morat

This genre doesn't really attract my attention, but it doesn't bother me to listen to it either.

Antigua: "Rayando el sol" - Maná (1990)

These two songs with a Latin pop-rock rhythm are from different generations. "Faltas tú" is nostalgic and sentimental and "Rayando el sol" by Maná was an iconic hit of Latin rock in the 90s.

And now for the 5th place I have left the best ones, at least for me.

At number 5 is "Despecha" Rosalia

And on the other hand we have

Rauw Alejandro - Todo de Ti

What can you tell me about these two songs, which one do you like the most, tell me what you think?
