REVISITING MY NIGHT CLASS DIARIES
Saw this random tweet and someone made some funny remark about night class. This made me remember the experience(s) I had of night class while I was in the university. So, the very first time I went to night class, it was just God that saved me from failing the course we had the next day.

That was in my 200 level second semester then. Prior to that time, I had never been to night class but with my guys and roommates all hyped up about it and because I didn’t want to come off as the odd and unserious one, I decided to follow them.
We left the hostel around 8:00pm and one of the guys said we’d pull an all-nighter till 4:00/5:00am. I agreed. What could I have said even? So we go to the class and started jacking(reading) almost immediately. About 30 minutes down, the first issue started...mosquitoes. Like that wasn't enough, they were backed by people gisting loudly, even some couples playing love.
Someone suggested we go grab something to eat. Na who don chop de fit read well. My guys bought eba and soup. Me I bought beans and bread...as you know. We ate and while waiting for food to digest, sleep showed up. Then Danny said, "let’s just sleep small. Set alarm. We will awake by 12 and continue till dawn." That was it...The very end! Nobody woke up by 12 anything. In fact, exam was by 8:00 and we awoke by past 6:00am. I tried to cram, no way. I was lucky to have read a few times during the semester else, the rest things in the exam sheet were looking like they were not written in English language. After that event, you’ll never see me going for night class. Never! I no fit go there go de deceive myself na.
But then, the people I met there. The characters! Each one with his own wahala and lifestyle and I’ll be sharing a few of them with you
The First Timers
Those just like myself. These ones are probably freshers who came with a friend or roommate to see how a nightclass operates. Chances are they think a lecturer would come to take a course.
The Food basket of the nation.
These ones would stop at one buka, buy: jollof rice, garri, soup, banana, egg, Pepsi, etc. You'd think they came to a foodfest. They will come for the class, be chatty until around 9:00 PM when they will eat. Proceed to read after that? LOL. Next thing they're unwrapping another goodie and disturbing serious students with the aroma of their eatables.
The Sleepyheads
Mostly hostel kids and people running from the noise and chaos of their hostiel and those deceiving themselves with 'i will read at nightclass,' Most are foodies who don’t want to share their stuff with their ever-hungry roommates. When they finish eating, next thing is to look for a comfortable position and enjoy their sleep. Never mind, they came ready with blankets and pillows.
The Gist mongers
Forget it! These ones came to while away time. Amebo has nothing on them. They actually came with a bag full of books but after reading through one page, that's it. They go from desk to desk bearing gists and looking for the latest "word on campus"
The Hunters
Dressed like they are going to club but they're out to look for the bone of their flesh. Their own is to find relationship and put body.
The Study groups
A number of friends who hang out and read together. They are focused on studying,g explaining, question and answer session. They know why they are there. Occasionally they go astray but it's not too bad.
The Children of evil
These ones have been reading for a long time. They are just out that day to catch some fun and make others lose focus. You hear them say things like…"me, I don’t have strength to read o," "Na two days to the exam wey i.go open book," "Jackos!" Guy, I go sit-down with you for exam so you go help me," "if I open book now, I go just tire."...on and on. Flee from these ones. They no too well laidat.
The "Let me sleep small"
These ones are the main people deceiving themselves. They will study for 10 minutes and tell you that they want to sleep small so their heads can become calmer. story! It's until daybreak. Infact, if you don’t wake them up in the morning, they will continue sleeping there.
The Chargers
These ones almost never get power supply in their houses. You see them carrying big bags and assume they are going for intense study. LMAO. Time to unpack and you’ll see things like… lamp, laptop, power bank, MP3, hand fan, phones, etc, and things you would not even understand. Don’t be surprised if they don’t bring out a single book. Na only Then know wetin carry them go night class.
The movers and shakers
We don’t know who these ones are but they are amongst us so stop everything will be moving as always until someone screams, "Jesus! Wey my phone?
LMAO.
These are the very few characters I can recall from them.
Feel free to add more.

Night class is funny, for every night class I attend there was always an intruder. The time you're ready to read some evil posses being will start chanting. The one I had that I won't forget is the one I attend with a girlfriend I can't open up to her that I love her..
Through out the night I glance through her eyes, honestly I can't tell you I grab something from that night class.
Life of womanizer 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Staying true to your womanizing self😂
Leave woman so you'll stay focused o😂
Hahaha 🤣, thanks friend
Night class with sleep, how would someone read in the time of sleep, you guys were lucky to wake up by 6:00, I thought you missed the exams, is better to read ahead of exams, and not a day before an exams.
