IT WILL PASS, TOO.
I have to admit that it was from this prompt that I learned that blue was a more approipriate description and word for depression. How cute! Lol.
Feeling blue is very common with every human being. With how challenging the times are, its easier and easier to plunge into it.
In order to get thtough the phase, there are many things you can do although you will probably have to push yourself to do them and they won't all work.
If you are feeling blue for a known reason you might want to write about it talk about it with a trusted listener. This might help you accept it or move through it or just feel better. However, feeling the pain of what has occurred is necessary for getting passed it in the long run. So feeling blue may be part of that.
You can't erase the pain or avoid the situation but can surely distract your mind from feeling sorrow.
If you feel sad, talk to someone who is really concerned about you. Those people who help you out in your hard times will always hear out and help you in certain ways. Spilling out how sad you feel is what empties the sadness inside you.
Do not listen to sad songs or any kind of blues. You will be doing yourself a grave mistake. Rather, listen to affirmations and uplifting songs, the kind of songs that make you move your body even without you wanting to.
Do not drink alcohol to feel better things could get worse. Stay off it.
Look for something you do that makes you feel happy or peaceful or curious. The point is to distract yourself away from feeling down. Hang out with friends, go out on a solo date and appreciate yourself, try out something new, cook yourself a meal and eat.
Everybody feels blue sometimes. But if it's a regular pattern or if you can't pull out a bit for long periods at a time it may be depression. You'll need to deal with that. It's not one of those feelings that you want to dwell in and soak up for a while with the hope that it passes, cause, if you let it be that way, you will only sink.
And if you find that you've been at it for long, with no obvious reason(or even if there's a reason), then you need to seek professional help, cause it's a medical condition.
Conclusively, do not underestimate the value of having a good cry when it all gets overwhelming. Crying can be therapeutic and people often feel much better after that.
You'll be fine. This will pass, too.
Thanks for stopping by.

Writing about pain or something challenging is quite therapeutic. I'm speaking from experience. These things you've mentioned here, you've said rightly. It was beautiful reading about
