Soy Marinated Pickle Jar Salad πΊπ₯
Happy weekend hivers and plantpower (vegan) family. Its a delicious restful weekend and we need something nutritious and healthy for this warmer weather. I usually treat my family to snacks on weekends but today is for a special kind of vegetable salad recipe π₯ since we have the opportunity to eat something healthier
For me weekends are for grocery shopping to help re - equip and replace some finished food stuffs in the pantry and refrigerator, but since I have some left over vegetables, I needed to exhaust them before the new week starts. Thinking of what to use them for , a simple vegetable salad recipe came to mind but this type of recipe is a soy sauce recipe. Its very simple, quick and arranged in a jar πΊ as a pickle jar salad since its for refrigerating and preserved for lunch as side dish. Its also a style we can use to decorate our salad for going to the beach or picnic πΊπ§Ί .
Without wasting much time friends, lets see the ingredients for this exotic soy sauce recipe and steps for preparation.
INGREDIENTS::
2 teaspoon of soy sauce
3 ripped strong cherry tomatoes π
1/2 of a red onions π§
1/2 of a bell pepper π«
2 carrots π₯
1 large size cucumber π₯
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
A pinch of salt
STEPS FOR PREPARATION:
Step 1.
I will start by cleaning the carrots, onion, bell pepper before sterilizing all the vegetables since non will be cooked.
Step 2.
Next I go on to wash the vegetables, then leave it in the drainer to dry a bit before slicing and chopping them.
Step 3.
I will first chop the cucumber by cutting it into two, slice it in rounds then dice into 4 tiny squares.
Step 4.
The carrots I will cut in rounds and into half. Dice the green pepper and cut the onions in straight lines.
Step 5.
Finally will chop the cherry tomatoes π in circles
Step 6.
Getting together all ingredients ready usually quickens anything we are preparing just like I have them here to proceed to another step.
Step 7.
To assemble this soy marinated pickle jar salad π₯ in its unique recipe, I have this jar πΊ ready. So I will first add the cucumber making sure itβs aligned.
Step 8.
I will bring and add the cherry tomatoes π , add some onions π§ then another line of cucumber π₯.
Step 9.
The carrots I will add on the 2nd line of the cucumber, adding also the green pepper.
Step 10.
Finally I added the remaining cherry tomatoes and onions to the top. I will then take the soy sauce , add the black pepper and pinch π€ of salt to it. Mix them properly together and drizzled it on top of the assembled salad π₯. This certainly went around into the jar .
And its ready friends. But will go into the refrigerator until lunch π₯ is ready to be served with it. However, we can also assemble our salads of any kind in this format . It looks so attractive and appetizing..
