Make Fried Onions Curry Potatoes 🥙🥔🌿

Fried potatoes are always a delicious meal 🥘 we can enjoy at all times and making it with onions and curry are indeed a classic combination with variations.

Today am sharing with you what I can imagine to be one of the simplest recipe from sweet potatoes that I stumbled into in the internet while exploring. A recipe from “ The Forked 🍴Spoon “. A dish I will love to make several times because of how it turned out from my own version

.Perfect fried potatoes , onions and curry that are achieved with patience especially if we want it not to burn out but to retain that golden crust that makes it delicious.

So here we need attention into the process as the onions are stirred in at the end of frying and flipping the potatoes. The starchy Russets potatoes are the ideal to help yield crispy exterior, fluffy and tender inside.

Just with few ingredients friends, we can make this aromatic dish for lunch 🥙.

.# INGREDIENTS:

1 medium fresh potatoes
2 balls of onions
3 hots peppers
1 clove of garlic
Salt to taste
5 tablespoons of veg oil

EXTRA INGREDIENT
3/4 teaspoon of curry powder
1/2 teaspoon of dried herbs( while preparing)

STEPS FOR PREPARATION;

Step 1.


First thing is to wash the potatoes, cut it into four equal parts. Then into a slice of an inch

Step 2.


And will gradually slice them all into inches and peel them.

Step 3.



I will transfer the peeled potatoes into a bowl to soak for 30 minutes for little starch removal.

Step 4.




Once 30 minutes elapsed,
I will drain the soaked potatoes , add salt and curry powder .

As here above.

Step 5.

I will use the tips of my finger to mix inn the salt and curry. Allow to seat for 5 minutes to absorb.

Step 6.

Next I will wash and slice the onions, peppers and garlic

Step 7.

To fry the potatoes, I will heat up the vegetable oil and will add the chopped potatoes to start frying . Flip once its golden

Step 8.


Once all the potatoes are fried, and under low heat, I will add the pepper, garlic, then the onions .

And little drops of water, then cover to steam up. As above.

Step 9.


Once it steamed up, I will stir in the ingredients allowing to incorporate well, then add the herbs 🌿 for more aroma.


We can make this fried potatoes as breakfast, lunch or dinner if we desire one, but I made it for a lunch side dish and everyone loved it . This version is very appetizing. We can also serve this dish with hot sauce or vegetable. Its a lovely recipe you need to try

This is on my list of to make for sure. I once ordered some fried potatoes in a restaurant that had curry on them. I forgot how good it was.

I thought of you yesterday when I purchased the kind of peppers that you always use. We call them Habeneros and the ones I got looks just like in your photo.

Aww beautiful. You can imagine how delicious this potatoes taste. Crispy and a bit spicy 🌶. And the onions gave it a lovely aroma and flavor. You need to try it my friend.

That pepper must be so good and different because here its originally planted without artificial manures. So good for spicy 🌶 meal 🥘
