Living and practicing simple lifestyle which in total characterized a minimalist is not just the environment we live in or the kind of properties we acquire but also that way of living that shows some basic simple rules that helps us to navigate this lifestyle.

Living simple is something that can not be imposed on any one, its rather a style that comes naturally in ones way of seeing life and embracing it in our own way. In other words, an acceptable mindset of choice of living.

Although for some, they see minimalism as a lifestyle decided upon due to economical and environmental factor situations caused by the lack of the governance and those in power who can not situate things properly. But to others its a preferred lifestyle because its slow pace and simple without much struggles because of the need to acquire more or achieve more than others.

As a minimalist who grew up in a simple and kind environment, learning from a mother who believes in keeping clean the little you have, give out things not in need again and give to those who do not have and siblings who taught me of how tomorrow holds greater things, the five (5) basic simple rules I see that could help in minimalism are :

Gratefulness: Like I have always said and now almost like a watch word. Life is a gift to be grateful to. Waking up everyday with good health should be our number one priority as minimalist. Once there is life and good health, we look forward to happiness, being contented with what we have and always reflecting the time of the moment. Being grateful is very important, helping us to always be thankful 🥲.

Less Desire: This is a very important rule in the life of a minimalist. When we have a mindset of desiring less, this will give us the room to always have comfort with the ones we have, thereby creating space for us not to acquire more than we need at a particular point in time. This will also help us to cut down on expenses spending only on needs not wants.

Goals: What is our goal as minimalist. This is very crucial as we need to identify the areas of things that we see that matters to us which we hold on to concerning why we are living or have chose to live a lifestyle of this kind called minimalism. Everyone sets goals in life which helps decide the direction of channeling things that produces results after a long time.

Values: How do we see and regard ourselves when compering our lifestyles to that of others. How has minimalist lifestyle impacted our behavior and how useful it has been to our daily activities and commitments. It’s important we don’t compare ourselves to others especially when it comes to spending financially. We should always value our own way of spending because it’s important to know if we actually want or need an item before buying it. We must not reference others.

Growth: This aspect of our life is very important when we talk of living simple. Growing is an everyday activity either in our lifestyle, business, work and even mindset. How has living simple affected our growth? Do we feel it is worth living a simple life without regret or are we forcing ourselves because we feel we don’t have what it takes to live that fast paced lifestyle. Its very important we search ourselves here and know the truth, because its only when we choose to believe in ourselves we can achieve and be happy 😃.

These are the basic points I deemed necessary and important for minimalism.

Thanks for stopping and reading friends 🥰.

How do we see and regard ourselves when comparing our lifestyles to that of others.

My mother used to say that we should never compare ourselves with others; she said that not everyone tells the dark secrets of their success. As a child, I believed her and tried to obey her, although I never understood what she really meant. Now I believe it's one of the most valuable lessons/insights she's bequeathed to me. Reading your recommendations reminded me of that, and I'm already thinking about my five rules.

Thanks for sharing!

Aww beautiful 😻. Life is full of different strokes, even those we have not realized. The best is to always listen to our inner minds and follow it.

Comparing ourselves to others is a very big mistake we are making. It's something that leads to divided attention. Your mom was truly right.

Thanks so much for stopping by with kind lovely words 🥰❤️.

Sending you hug lovely 🤗
