I love clothing and accessories because dressing up makes me feel good. And as a young girl then, I will make sure to buy quality clothing because I feel they will last longer and better still look good. And then because of how expensive they cost, I will want to use them for a longer time.

Then as the years keep passing and maturity sets inn, I became aware of how some fashion and styling are not matching up again with my age and this means I need to let go of most of my clothings, accessories and others that my wardrobe is made up of and start buying new once again , but thrift stores never came to mind because then I feel that there are so many less privileged ones I can give these items to but my problem was will they appreciate them?

Thinking about appreciation made me to realize how much I love ❀️ most of these clothes because they are from my youth and has so much memories with me. But as time goes by while still struggling with my decisions , I decided to start doing away with them to enable me purchase new ones that I will love for my new era of dress sense. And to satisfy feelings, I decided to take most of the clothes, accessories and shoes to my church where I handed them over to those in charge of charitable materials for distribution.

And now after many years with marriage and children, I see how important it is to give out from time to time not feeling and needing to be appreciated because when we give we will definitely receive. I park from time to time undersized children cloths to church, books from classes my girls have left behind even though sometimes they will complain they still need one or two items from the bulk.

Most times its very hard to give out things that we have good memories with. Especially if they are gifted to us by grandparents, parents, friends and loved πŸ₯° ones. But we have to eventually give them away because the simple ways of living includes thinking about those that are not capable in certain aspects of life, the motherless, those we connect with as we journey on earth 🌍

This is my contribution to this weeks KISS PROMPT #89.

Thank you friends for stopping and reading. Happy Holidays πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸŽ‰β€οΈ

I'm having these same feelings about my stuffed animals, which have a special place in my heart, but no longer have the same importance in my life as before... and since it's Christmas, I've been thinking a lot about what I would like to do with them. I think the answer I've come to is that I'm going to donate them, probably for next Christmas, because I know that although I still have them in my heart because they are gifts from people I cherish, they will be better used by a child who will see them with new eyes.

It can be hard to give out very cherished items. But knowing that you put a smile on the face of someone in need is appreciation enough. I used to not easily do that but things are clearer now to me. Maturity, as you say has worked its magic.
