An Early Morning Visit to a Hill Station

It is the 4th of April 2024 and it is just after the end of this financial year I have decided to just go out for a small trip to a nearby hill station. It was already decided that I would be heading out today but it seems the weather had some other plans for me. Since it is a hill station I wanted to take my Bike out for the ride but if things stay like this then I might have to switch to a Car instead of a Bike.

But thankfully the weather changed and we are off to a hill station with pleasant weather behind us. This will be I guess second time that I will be visiting this Hill Station and the last time I visited this place was two decades ago so yeah I am really excited to see how things have changed and what is the new atmosphere around MIRIK.

Just look at the majestic lake on top of the hill. It just looks spectacular as usual and it is really baffling to see such a huge lake on top of such a big Hill and because of this, the tourism here is just packed with people. We went here with our Bikes and it took us roughly 3 hours to reach the location as we explored every little view we could find on the way as well as some Momos. We definitely ate a lot of Momos on the road and I don't regret it at all.

Apart from the Momos we had during our ride we also partook in some local cuisines namely the Thakkali Thali which is a Nepali-based Thali that they serves with lots of local veggies.

As you can see the Thali was overflowing with Veggies and I really liked all of them. Yes it tasted different but that is exactly why we try out Local Cuisines, that is to try new flavors and experiences.

Apart from that I also ordered a Cup of Coffee which was to die for but sadly they served the coffee with our Lunch so I couldn't savour the Coffee as much as I had hoped to. So I was a tad bit disappointed in that but the Coffee was just Yummmmmm.

We stayed in MIRIK for like 3 hours and we enjoyed whatever the place had to offer apart from the Boat Ride as I can't Swim and I am scared of water. But then we took a bike ride back home and it took us 2 hours to reach home and the day was well spent and well rested at least mentally.
