Hello to all street art lovers! In the city of Barquisimeto (Venezuela), there is a charming mural embodied in what would be the facade of a house. I imagine that the owners were the ones who paid for the work to be painted or maybe, inside that house, there lives a painter. I really don't know. But every time you pass through that street, it's impossible not to be captured by that scene full of colors (and those who know me know that colors are my weakness).

I am fascinated by these drawings made on large walls, because I feel that they give the illusion of looking at a kind of film strip. Therefore, the imagination does not stay still and as you go through the drawing with your eyes, you start imagining the actions of the characters. I really like that illusion of movement. My first encounter with designs of this type was when I was a child, in the subway stations of the city of Caracas. As I walked with my mother and the rest of the people, I remember that my attention was lost in the drawings and figures on the walls. Which makes me realize that since I was little, I have always felt that attraction for colorful figures.

The drawings, despite being quite simple, give off harmony. While I was looking at them, I couldn't help but think of the animated movie "The Beatles: Yellow submarine", where well-defined shapes and color predominate.

The scene makes us think of a quiet walk and despite the fact that the environment around me does not resemble what is embodied in the mural, I like to imagine that I am on that path together with those people.

Definitely, making drawings of this style on long walls is not only creative, but also helps to clear the minds of passers-by who pass near them. The bad thing is that it is difficult to find a complete photograph where this type of art is appreciated well enough, because in person, it is quite a spectacle.

¡Hola a todos los amantes del arte callejero! En la ciudad de Barquisimeto (Venezuela), se encuentra un encantador mural plasmado en lo que sería la fachada de una casa. Me imagino que los dueños, fueron los que pagaron para que fuese pintada la obra o a lo mejor, en el interior de aquella casa, habita algún pintor. La verdad no lo sé. Pero cada vez que pasas por esa calle, es imposible no ser capturado por ese escenario colmado de colores (y el que me conoce, sabe que los colores, son mi debilidad).

Me fascinan estos dibujos hechos en muros extensos, porque siento que dan la ilusión de mirar una especie de cinta de película. La imaginación por tanto, no se queda quieta y a medida que vas recorriendo el dibujo con la mirada, te vas imaginando las acciones de los personajes. Me agrada mucho esa ilusión de movimiento. Mi primer encuentro con diseños de éste tipo, fue cuando era niña, en las estaciones del metro de la ciudad de Caracas. Mientras caminaba junto a mi madre y el resto de las personas, recuerdo que mi atención se perdía en los dibujos y figuras de las paredes. Lo que me hace dar cuenta que desde pequeña, siempre he sentido esa atracción por las figuras coloridas.

Los dibujos, a pesar de ser bastante sencillos, desprenden armonía. Mientras los veía, no pude evitar pensar en la película animada de "The Beatles: Yellow submarine", en donde predominan las formas bien marcadas y el color.

La escena nos hace pensar en una caminata tranquila y a pesar de que el entorno a mi alrededor, no se asemeje a lo plasmado en el mural, me gusta imaginar que estoy dentro de ese camino junto a esas personas.

Definitivamente, elaborar dibujos de éste estilo en muros largos no sólo es creativo, si no que ayuda a despejar la mente de los transeúntes que pasan cerca de ellos. Lo malo, es que es difícil hallar una fotografía completa donde se aprecie suficientemente bien éste tipo de arte, porque en persona, es todo un espectáculo.
