1000th Staked DUO Milestone

I've been following the DUO project since right before they launched and it immediately became one of my favorite tokens in Hive next to Splinterlands' SPS. I've always dreamt of having a large holding of curation tokens like BRO and LGN, but sadly, I missed their launch and they were already expensive when I caught wind of them. So when DUO token was announced and what the project was all about, I immediately went all in and grabbed a couple hundred tokens for 0.5 Hive each. I wish I got more but that was all the funds available to me at the time.

After the initial sale offer, the second tranche was at 1 Hive and it became a little harder to buy more knowing that I could have gotten double if I just bought more at the initial sale. So I slowly bought my way through and last night, I finally reached my 1,000th DUO token staked. This lands me at the top eight holders of DUO and I'm planning to ramp up my holdings even more.

So what are the benefits of staking DUO tokens? There are two main reasons why you should get involved:

Post Curation

If you regularly post quality Hive content, then you'd want to stake some DUO tokens. Starting from 200 DUO, you can receive votes from the curation account. From there, you can start grinding and increasing your stake in order to unlock higher voting weight. The best part about it is that a portion of the proceeds from the token sale is powered up to further increase the voting power of the curation account, so every DUO you buy from the market increases the curation value that you receive.

Daily Hive Dividends

Aside from post curation, DUO also gives a daily Hive dividend to the token holders. Even if you are not regularly posting, you can still earn a passive income just by staking your DUO tokens. As for me, I try my best to take full advantage of both and try to climb my way even higher in the rankings. As of now, I find more value in holding DUO than increasing my Hive power. I will try to buy as much as I can until the second tranche concludes before I start working my way back up my Hive power.
