I am doing it anyway! || DreemPort challenge
This post is a part of Dreemport Challenge 'Marathon'
I fear.
Every day.
The shame never leaves me.
I shiver with dread.
I am short of breath.
My hands tremble and sweat.
My stomach growls loudly.
My mouth is dry, its corners cracked.
I am afraid, but I do it anyway.
Marathon
Therefore, for my part, I want to help new #hive members find their place. I am still a #newbie myself, so it is much easier to get into your skin and identify with your problems. That's why the @heyhaveyamet initiative is so important. This month we are working with new hive members in groups in the 'Marathon' challenge(read about it here and here)
I am part of the @samsmith1971 Team
and I will be working side by side with:
@veganuss.family, @ojbear and @madeirane.
I offer you my help but I know I will definitely learn a lot from this experience.

Don't worry, I won't bore you with stories from my life today. I will spare you my excitement this time too.
And I want to point out that the poem at the beginning is not gloomy at all. It isn't! What I want to share is the thought - even though you're scared - give it a try. Everyone has different goals and challenges in life, but it's important to push the boundaries. No matter how much it hurts - we need to push the boundaries, to learn new things, to try, to taste, to experience.
Fear only means that your common sense is in the right place, but how many inventions would have been made if scientists or engineers were guided only by it?
Better safe than sorry? Nah!
I say do it! Do it now!
About the drawing
This is an old drawing, from my art academy days, so yes - quite old. It was a time when I couldn't part with my favourite Promarkers. I wanted to own every colour on earth, but I only used a few anyway:) I am not saying that I have a narrow colour palette, but certainly no one would count me as a colourist:)
The drawing was made at a time when nothing else but the body existed for me. Naked. Naked bodies everywhere. Soft bodies, bony bodies, chubby bodies, flabby bodies, sagging bodies. Each one held secrets. To this day, the nude is my favourite study, but I approach the subject with a very different way.
I think I miss drawing freely a little, I think the 'stiffness' of my compositions and figures comes from the fact that I have become a little stiff myself. I need to re-learn freedom and spontaneity and I will work on that:)

A great piece, at first you think it could be abstract but it isn't. Great use of colors.

Fear.... I call it the enemy of trial.
One thing with getting engulfed with fear is that it never allows you to try and when you never try, you won't even know if you would have succeeded or not..
It's really not worth it but I guess it's always so, we're humans anyway but I pray we never miss anything just because we were afraid

Everyone is afraid of something. We can deny it all we want, but that's just the way it is. Avoiding facing one's fear - that is the real problem. We live in our own bubble without really experiencing anything and, moreover, without really knowing our own capabilities.

Exactly... We just have to push ahead even with the fear.
Sometimes we might win, other times, we might not but it's still worth trying all the time
Yep, and I would say if it hurts a bit - that is probably the right direction :)

Never though about myself as an optimist. I always though I am more of a pragmatic type, but still learning how to tackle everyday life:)

As I sad to out Team Leader - I will say to you - I was completely out of my depth :D I like dark and gloomy colours, and couldn't imagine to do banner for #Dreemers that looks like my darky though :D
