2D or 3D?
That's when I learnt about the 'spatial sense'. Or rather that I have one :D We glued three-dimensional geometrical figures out of paper and drew technical projections of these figures. I discovered that there was, however, a part of mathematics that was very close to me. At the same time, what I didn't have any problems with was causing a lot of trubles for my classmates. I helped others to glue models together before classes, drew prisms for them in their notebooks and calculated volumes. For a while, everything was so easy....
Never-ending pattern
I discovered fractals at the end of primary school. I drew them passionately on the covers of my notebooks without knowing what I was actually drawing. A fractal is an endless pattern that is similar to itself but at different scales. The whole process is not very complicated - you simply repeat the pattern in ongoing feedback loop. Everyone usually sees something familiar in fractals when looking at them - and there is good reason for that. Nature is filled to the brim with fractals - trees - both branches and roots, mountains, clouds, rivers, shells... and flowers of course!
What attracts us so much about plants - apart from the colours, of course - is their piled-up symmetry. One of my favourite examples of a plant fractal are the succulents Aeonium arborescens, which create mathematically perfect compositions and their graceful rosettes resemble flowers.
Visiting my favorite Tree
The photos were taken in Cork, when I visited my Brother couple weeks ago. For one of the walks we went to 'wildlife park Fota'. The place is not just a simply beautiful and very well-maintained park with lots of lawns and lovely picnic areas - but home to all sorts of exotic plant and tree species that many of us are unlikely to encounter on a daily basis.
Most of the trees and shrubs were 'decorated' with plaques bearing the Latin name of the plant and sometimes even the year it was planted. We spent the most time under a giant sequoia. On one of the blogs I've seen someone called sequoia 'Giant Mammoth', I think it is a very appropriate name. It's a plant in the cypress family, and it has many varieties. What the sequoia is famous for, however, is its size - it can reach heights of up to 115.5 m (379 ft), and the diameter of its trunk can be up to 9 m (30 ft).

What an awesome post, great shots!
Thank you very much. Whole place was amazing. We have been there whole day and I was still hungry of those views! I am sure that I will get back there when I'll be around. Plus - it was the pick of the season too, so flowers everywhere :D

You sure did justice to this pictures, they are beautiful. I don't have a favourite tree but with this I think I should have one...😅
#dreemport #dreemerforlife
You definitely should get your pick!
Sure!
Wow, these pictures are beautiful, love them all, it's been a long time since I saw beautiful collections of flowers and trees, love them all.
Pop in from #dreemport, a vibrant dreemerforlife.
Thank you very much! I truly had the best time taking them:)
I have never seen trees that looks so unfamiliar, like some kind of fantasy Island, the shapes, tree scales, pines and the flowers. I'm very sure I have never came across any of this not even in my wildest dreams or imaginations.
It is amazing what nature is capable of, some of those trees looks a little scary 😅, one in particular that looks like a palm tree based on the short horns that surrounds the body of the tree, surprisingly it wasn't a palm tree but a different tree entirely based on it's leaves.
The pictures are amazing, I got lost in it a little but I took my time, couldn't jeopardise the opportunity to experience such amusing wonders of nature.

I agree - nature is beautiful and scary in the same time:)
I know, it was a lot for one post, but I didn't wanted divided them into portions. It didn't felt right, since many pictures were just plaques with name of the trees :)
These are magnificent photos, I liked them very much, very beautiful.
Thank you very much!
oh Strega, these are really lovely photos. I like that the plagues are there to help people know the names of the tress. Personally, i havent seen most of the tress before.
now that you have asked, I actually do not know the name of my favorite tree but one thing I know is the tree is a perfect shade. It shields people from both rain and sunlight as it has really thick and wide leave. It is also really tall.
I really loved that too! And I haven't seen many of those trees and plans before too:) That's why I did so many pictures.
They are really the best. One can really see that if visit the big city without ant trees here or there.
Temperature is going crazy in hot day if you are surrounded with concrete and cement without any trees :(

I love these plants, caught looking at this beautiful garden @strega.azure A hug
I am very glad! Thank you for your visit!
Excellent.
Thank you:)
Awesome photography. My fav was the tree fern - though they're all stunning! Thanks for sharing.
I like to think that they were looking this way when dinosaurs were still around:)
Thank you for popping by @ma3str0!
I like to think the same mate.. just look at the age of it, despite the relatively small size. Must have been a spectacular time to be around!
There were even bigger than this one, since climate was different, so imagine - that must have been such magnificent view:)
To be honest almost half of picture I was looking one by one and that make me tired and start it analyse how many picture you share here 😅.
It's too many pictures. I think I haven't seen any other post having so many pictures. Maybe you made a record.
By the way in case of picture all are well captured and looking very beautiful.
Making compliments for each picture is not possible 🤣🤣. Sorry for that.
I knoooow - I really thought about to do at least 2 posts out of those, but didn't felt right to divide them. They just work better as a whole, to show how many exotic species they manage to gather in one place:)
One is more than enough! Thank you for popping by @intishar
I think you did the right thing. Because now I am able to finish reading it in a good mood otherwise the gap between post might forget about the first post.
I was thinking the same thing. Even I do sometimes story in parts(come communities have limits on the number of words), but in all fairness - I usually have to go back and read previous post to get full gist of the story:)
With pictures I don't think there is such a limit, but maybe perhaps after my post someone will decide otherwise :D
Smart😎
I think it was after I reached the end that I realized that I'd gone through dozens of photos. I was that enraptured. These are beautiful and so unique and I don't know why I can't kind beauties like this in my locality.
I saw these beautiful black violet coloured flowers among them. I don't know what's its name but it's really beautiful.
I still don't know names half of those :D I was using app that recognize the plants during my walk, but wasn't able to write this all down:D
If you will drop screenshot the one you really liked though - I should be able to find the name for you @jhymi :)
Thank you for your visit:)
I can imagine. I'd usually just take pictures of something I find beautiful. Finding out the names is the least of my worries. Hehe
Here is it. Really lovely isn't it. I legit dreamt about it last night!
Oh, that's my favourite!!! You are in luck:))
Zwartkop Aeonium(or Aeonium arboreum, and type: Zwartkop - the name comes from the German 'szwartz kopf' which means 'black head') , it is a succulent, he absolutely love to be in full sun, and sandy soil:) If you don't have much sun at home it is possible to grow it too, but colour of the leaves will have the traces of green and more red too:) At home you can grow it about 12inches(about 30 cm) tall, but the one I saw in the 'Fota' park was in the greenhouse, and was about 1 meter(about 40inches) tall! Absolutely love them:)
Yayy, thank you so much for telling me about them. I just took one look at them and was like, these are definitely for me. Glad you love them as well. I hope I can see them for myself one day.🤗
🖤🖤🖤
😮 if the pictures look that good, I can only imagine what it was like seeing everything in person!
I would just love stay there and hug trees and just lie on the ground soak up the green :)
Yeah! It's amazing there are so many different kinds of species in one location.
Love the various species of Echeveria! I grow some at home and they are really amazing plants to have arround.
I just adore succulents! Not only becouse those are only species I can grow(becouse I often forgetting to water my plants :D), but that they can grow so beautifully even in very hostile environment. So resilient!
Thank you for your visit:)
Absolutely! That's why I love them too :)
Happy weekend!
First tree of the post is looking amazing.
It is some crazy kind of pine:) I really liked the shape of it:)
Thank you for popping by!
