Hello everyone ☺️☺️☺️😊😊

I feel so excited writing again💃💃
I had a pretty funny experience this week and will love to share with you, I will also love to read what you think of this person I am gisting you about.

I was on my way home from work in a coaster bus in the city of Abuja (I newly relocated here from Lagos, Nigeria). If there's one thing I'm thankful for, it's the fact that I don't get to encounter those Lagos scammers who advertise all manner of products in the bus and by the time you look at them, you can't see a correlation in how they look and what they are advertising. If you are a Nigerian, and you stay in Lagos, moving with public means of transportation, I'm sure you would have encounter them.

This faithful day, I sat down extremely tired, the conductor who eventually made my day collected the transport fare from all passengers and I must confess, the conductor was so cute and sounded elite.

who is this cute Conductor
I thought in my head

But of course, as a serious and focused lady that I am, I just looked away and closed my eyes. You know

heaven is the goal 😂😂

Soon, this cute guy started talking. He is the marketer. Normally, I wouldn't listen to bus marketers but I decided to listen to him and I must confess, I was intrigued, the guy really was smart. However, I wonder, was he smart or he is just an intelligent deceiver?

He started marketing an herbal drink, packaged in plastic bottles, he pointed out that fact that in Lagos, he normally sell it for 1500 but here in Abuja, it's 1000. At first, I was surprised, like, who does this in the city of Abuja? Abuja is meant to be more developed and civilized than Lagos. I however suspect the fact that he just moved in from Lagos.

He said the following and I quote

Today, I want to do a form of marketing, I will be giving out 9 bottles for free to different people, I want you to use the product and when it works, you will tell people around you, I want you to test the product so you can testify

The moment he said that, people started struggling to get a bottle. Eventually he gave out more than 9 bottles. He then proceeded and said

I know I said I would give out the product for free, it's still free but you will have to do something for me, you will have to pay me for the container, which is 500 naira

At that point, I started to laugh within me because this guy has just deceived the people and trapped them, at that point it would be awkward for the people to return the bottles to him. He ended up selling the product for the same price he would've sold them but he made the people believe he was only charging them for the bottle, which obviously is a lie 😂😂😂

So what do you think? What would you call the guy and why?

  1. A smart hustler who did nothing wrong
  2. A lier and a deceiver
  3. A scammer

Thanks for reading, I look forward to reading from you

Hello @storyqueen. Thanks for sharing the story with us. However, for this type of content, I'd like to suggest the Rant, Complain, Talk community, where people discuss things that happens in their life.
