The time has come! After nearly seven years on the blockchain, and more than a thousand posts, this is my first one that is completely related to cannabis. Though I quite like to consume it, just like beer, I have never considered it something I could write about extensively. Since then, however, I have posted a few times in the #BeerSaturday challenge, so why not make a cannabis post now?

Aunque me gusta mucho consumirlo, al igual que la cerveza, nunca lo he considerado algo sobre lo que pudiera escribir extensamente. Getting Growers onto Hive - Llevar a los Productores a Hive

The idea is not that new, actually. A few weeks ago I met this guy who is a keen grower of cannabis here in Mexico City, and thanks to the recent legalization, he is now very actively promoting his products. Not only the buds to smoke, of which he's got some very fine quality, but all kinds of derivatives, such as oil and resin, as well as pipes, papers, boxes, even presses and ovens. Now, those who are interested can get all the details first hand on his conventional social media sights: facebook, X, and I thought he had an Instagram page too, but I can't find it now. Anyway, his enterprise is called Farah Factory, named after his cat featured in the logo.

La idea no es tan nueva, en realidad. Hace unas semanas conocí a este tipo que es un entusiasta cultivador de cannabis aquí en la Ciudad de México y, gracias a la reciente legalización, ahora está promocionando muy activamente sus productos. No sólo los cogollos para fumar, de los que dispone de una calidad muy buena, sino todo tipo de derivados, como aceite y resina, además de pipas, papeles, cajas e incluso prensas y hornos. Ahora, aquellos que estén interesados pueden conocer todos los detalles de primera mano en sus redes sociales convencionales: facebook, X, y pensé que también tenía una página de Instagram, pero ahora no la encuentro. De todos modos, su empresa se llama Farah Factory, el nombre de su gato que aparece en el logo.

Most Notable Benefits - Beneficios Más Notables

1. Sharing Information. - Just like with other social media, the main purpose is getting the information out. Hive may be not as big as facebook, but we just may be more active. (???) Don't know, depends on the community, I guess... And any additional niche certainly helps.
2. Get paid for participating. - Unlike other social media, all your interaction gets to benefit you directly (whether it's posting, commenting, re-posting, or voting). The system of our various coins can be learned, it's not that complex.
3. We're our own authority. - Some other social media doesn't like the "factory" word? No worries about that on Hive! Since this is not a company, you won't be censored by it. Also, being decentralized as we are, it would technically even be close to impossible to impose censorship on our content. (There's lots of info on that too.)
4. An intro to crypto. Simply becoming active on Hive is a perfect introduction to cryptocurrencies in general. Our tokens are more than just Monopoly money, and given the situation, HIVE can be an amazing alternative to a country's fiat currency. Just ask anyone from Venezuela!

Puede que Hive no sea tan grande como Facebook, pero es posible que seamos más activos. (???) No lo sé, depende de la comunidad, supongo... Y cualquier nicho adicional ciertamente ayuda.
2. Recibe un pago por participar. - A diferencia de otras redes sociales, toda tu interacción te beneficia directamente (ya sea publicando, comentando, re-posteando o votando). El sistema de nuestras distintas monedas se puede aprender, no es tan complejo.
3. Somos nuestra propia autoridad. - ¿A alguna otra red social no le gusta la palabra "fábrica"? ¡No te preocupes por eso en Hive! Como esta no es una empresa, no será censurado por ella. Además, al estar descentralizados como estamos, técnicamente sería casi imposible imponer censura a nuestro contenido. (También hay mucha información sobre eso).
4. Una introducción a las criptomonedas. El simple hecho de volverse activo en Hive es una introducción perfecta a las criptomonedas en general. Nuestros tokens son más que dinero de Monopoly y, dada la situación, HIVE puede ser una alternativa increíble a la moneda fiduciaria de un país. ¡Pregúntale a cualquiera de Venezuela!

Have I left something out? Is there another, yet more convincing argument to join Hive for someone out there like my friend who may want to use it for his canna-business? Please let me know in the comments! Are there any news or important info that I should mention relating to the Hive communities Canna-Curate or WeedCash? Maybe something about the WEED token? I know things have been in transition lately, so I - but more essentially my friend - would appreciate any updates. I'm looking forward to your comments! All in all, I hope that this post, and maybe subsequent ones, will convince him to add Hive to his social media portfolio.
