Making a Return (04/06/24)
Okay, so it's been a while since I've last been on here properly!
Anyway, I currently am in the process of trying to get back on track with content creation, by completely restarting #IsaacStorm from the beginning, as it'll be about 2 years since I last played, so a fresh start is in order. I'll be merging all of the old IsaacStorm episodes before the restart into a single playlist, just to keep everything in the same place. Additionally, I've decided - with assistance from Perplexity - to do a halfway point between naming episodes and not naming them; I'll instead be naming important episodes only, so anything special will get a name, which will include the first episode, as well as also milestones, such as #10, #50, #100, and so on. I still have quite a few things to sort out with this, especially as I need to start everything a week before the first video goes live on the 1st of July!
Also, for the time being, I'm going to stick with doing Mon-Wed-Friday videos, maybe extending later, depending on how things go, as the Isaac videos are still going to be uncapped. I do want to do other games alongside Isaac in the future, but they will probably be 20-35 minute long videos - depending on the game and type of series - because I need to have set times for everything else moving forward. One thing I will be prioritising will be to max out the RAM (64GB DDR5) on Taranis (currently used laptop), as well as also kitting it out with a 4TB SSD, as well as a 5TB portable HDD, so I can get things rolling with content again.
I need to also try and fix Zeus, as well as getting Raiden up and running, but the latter is going to take me some time, so instead I'll be rolling out upgrades to Zeus (CPU + GPU, if I can find a working one) so I can get back to recording on my desktop setup, albeit with possibly a few changes, not least having the latest version of Linux Mint, and hopefully my new mixer and microphones too! In any case, Zeus won't be ready for a little while yet, but in order to keep things consistent, I'll be recording all my videos at 1080p, so Zeus has to effectively able to keep up if it can; 1080p/60 is pretty much my new standard for videos across the board now, so I need to work out how best to keep that standard!
I have a lot more I need to sort though right now, but I'll hold off on revealing anything more for the time being, as I need to consider many things, as well as how to type it all up! I'm going to start relying more upon tools, which means more automation on trivial, repetitive, and mundane, albeit consistent tasks, so I can spend more time on doing more important things! I'll be rolling out this - along with some updates to the overall Geeked Up Network structure as well as Stormhaven Media as a whole, so watch the relevant spaces for updates! I should also add that I can't reveal any timings for videos right now, but I do need to fix the #TeamUp timetable to take out any mentions of the old timetable, and then think of a new one!
