5 Minute Freewrite: keep your distance

Okay okay okay here we go. I'm doing yesterday's prompt because I didn't realize I was doing today's prompt when I did a freewrite right before bed last night. Keep your distance.

Keep your distance keep your distance keep your distance, the cat is thinking as the child chases after her.

Keep your distance. There's a lot of noise all of a sudden. The child runs away, giggling. The Brendan is going to hug him in his room.

We're moving soon. We've lived in this apartment for gosh how many years. Since November 2011. So a little less than 12 years. Whoa. Whoa whoa. Now the Brendan is talking to me, he forgot I was doing a freewrite. Did I do my math right? Yes I think I did. That means we are coming up on our 13th anniversary of both our marriage (10/10/10) and living in LA (10/30/10). When we first moved here we didn't even have a lease set up, just a few appointments to view apartments. We stayed with some couchsurfers in West LA near UCLA. But we found a studio we liked, that was in our price range, right by MacArthur Park. We thought we could find something more cost effective if we got roommates, so we moved after a year. I did not like the thick crowds I had to walk through to get to the Metro at MacArthur Park. That is a high density neighborhood. The park was cool though. I saw my first black-crowned night heron, right outside the metro station.
