Weekly playlist time - Chilled folk music from around the world

Introduction

We like to do curated playlists and also we are featured in hundreds of playlists on Spotify and wanted to highlight a few. We are always looking for suggestions for our playlist, so if you have a good idea then post a link to Spotify in the comments!

This weeks playlist is all about Folk music, which has so many classic songs. I grew up on some serious folk music regularly going to concerts in London. I always loved playing the acoustic guitar and this comes from all those classic folk songs I listened to as a child. This is a big genre and open to interpretation, we have included quite a bit of british folk but there is a whoile world out there! We only just started this playlist so if you have a good suggestion then let us know in the comments!

John Martyn probably one of the most influential players and his album Solid Air is a must listen. If you dont know it then check it out now!

Roy Harper is a legend and this song is fabulous. His son ben Harper did some great music as well and well worth a listen.

I dont know what to say about her really. She has such depth and skill and her first 2 albums are probably 2 of the best albums ever made.

Leonard Cohen was a lyric writer of his generation. Prolific, meaningful and he wrote with a style that was definitively his own.

Now if we gonna move down to the US we cannot forget the legend that is Bob Dylan. Love this song so much and the album Freewheelin is well worth another listen for sure
