Three tune Tuesday the brilliance of the unknown! You wont have ever heard this so give it a listen!

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts @stickupmusic has been doing it but I though I would join in too. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do!

Our picks

This week we are all about the unknown. Our picks are by a completely unknown band called Tablesale. There bluesy sound with raw female vocals is some of the best modern folk/blues we have heard. They also use some moogy synths and Indian percussion underneath the guitars and vocals to give it a real sense of flavour. I can't find any links for them and all I can find is Spotify links!

Song 1

"What you doing" is the first song of their only album and it has ukelele on it as the main instrument. You can here a synth underneath and some claps and percussion. The vocals sit on top and the song makes you feel like you have been bad but feel bad about it. Love this tune so much, so raw, so powerful.

Song 2

"Slow Train" really is like a slow train. With some slide guitar and some weird undertones on the vocals and some spun out delays. Again the smokey vocals sit on top perfectly. This is definitely like being on a slow train, but I am not sure I want to go where the train is going, but once you are on you can't get off!

Song 3

"Liberty" is my third choice of song. It really is a beautiful song. Simple guitar with some very deep and obviously personal lyrics. There is a simplicity in this song that brings to you the frailty of the song and the meaning of the song. My faviurite part of the song is when the bass comes in. Its harmonic playing just sits with the song and makes it come alive. Sit in a room with your headphones on and think about your life.....while listening to this. !

Excellent stuff lads, loving the little snippets I just listened to of this soul-filled singer, nice find. I will give that album a listen the next time I am in the car for a spin. Something very real and very raw about her and her lyrics, a nice sort of huskiness to her voice that works well.
