Introduction

So this week we want to look at some RS news and also consider the rewards. It is interesting as during this market most games have not been doing brilliantly! Like all these things they require new people and new ideas. I have watched our Splinterlands assets drop, cards and tokens and Rising Star is no exception. This does not worry us though with both of those games we witnessed what they did in the last bull market and we are sure in the next one they will do well. So we just keep on playing and collecting and enjoy the ride we are on!

News

Ok so lots of bits of news since our last post, one piece is popular and the other not so popular with the community although now it has settled down I think people see the need for it.

Lets start with the Holoween news and the introduction of Smiley! No offence to Jux but this has scared us! Especially when he kept appearing while we were playing!

However there is a new card available in packs that can be blended to make an animated special. You can find the S65 card in packs and you can blend 10 of them to make the animated one!

You can now also do the special Halloween mission so get his Violin and death horn. Again if you get 10 of these you can blend them to make an animated special instrument.

The mission is a 30 min mission to see if you can find one and you have a 1 in 10 chance of getting one. However they sell for quite a lot on the secondary market so if you do not have many fans then this could be a good mission to get some SB! it also does not cost any Ego which brings me on to the next bit of news.

Now the change in music lessons has caused a bit of debate. However we strongly believe that music lessons should not be free, I mean lets face it where could you get free music lessons in real life? Now music lessons cost a little Star Pro but it is not that much for the reward. there is a great post by @moinsterjamgold about it.

Now to us this is a very reasonable thing to add to the game so big up the team for being brave and adding it. Also to all the players out there, be thankful for all those free music lessons you have had up to this point, you have been very lucky!

Rewards

Now it is interesting watching how Rising Star are developing a Hive based reward pool. they have been quietly gathering resources to make sustainable swap:hive rewards paid out to players on a daily basis. They have been very careful with this and the rewards have been starting to grow. Also recently @hivedrip have added to the rewards on the leaderboard, this is a very cool gamefi project and definitely worth checking out.

Now the rewards for ranking have been extended and gone up! Which is a nice passive little bit of income for the top 100 or so players!

The other places you can earn swap;hive is raves, now we seem to get just over 1 hive for every rave we win. There is about 14 hive a day put into the raves reward pool. Now putting this together there is 27 Hive a day given out to players. This is built on a firm foundation and is only going to grow. We wonder where it will be the next bull market as I think things are looking good for when that happens!
