I made this yesterday night but it got late and I just got around to posting it. Hope you give me some feedback on what I said. I talked a lot more than average.
I agree to some point doing the math on the pre-sale for RW it's not a discount vs the pre-sale. It's the same price as after the pre-sale where SPS went to almost .10 and it the same the first week before SPS got back down to .07.
The main discount is those that bought licenses early.
I voted down for the DEC price for RW and Node. It will not be fair for people who bought during pre-sale. Moving forward, all product should be available to purchase by DEC at peg if that's the goal.
Thanks as always for the posts. I know I didn't realize the open tournament was free to play. Indeed if I had known, I would have played because... why not?
Personally, even though I haven't bought any packs, I'm going to vote NO on those DEC proposals too. Moving forward, if they want to set the prices of future expansion packs in DEC, that would be perfectly fine. But changing the terms of an agreement leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
I think people are overrating to these proposals. Yes, they might lose a bit of money if they sold those things right now. Eventually, when it's sold out, it won't matter what it cost at the time.
I find it baffling the outcry on this compared to proposals that basically made most players lose out in favor to the very top players and those still passed.
Thank you for the recap Steve, I voted no but I am a very small time investor. I just voted based on my feeling if I was to have put in a much higher amount like I would have wanted to. Going forward everything should be DEC for sure.
The one thing Splinterlands should be careful about is that community discussions have shifted in a big way from having fun and strategy playing the game versus discussions regarding economic issues and fixing the team management's mistakes. They seem to be rushing into product launches and the actual game has taken a hard backseat. Is the players experience getting better or worse? I have been here for two years and this is the worse I have seen, but I am hopeful we can turn the corner soon.
Let's focus on attracting and retaining new players by making their playing experience the best and rewarding it can be (tournaments, brawls, land management, new and interactive battle screen, etc.) By growing our player base we will address those economics issues, albeit slowly at this time as we are in a crypto wide bear market which we can't control.
thanks for the recap
yeah at first i was gonna vote yes but thinking about it i think it might not be the best choice of a proposal for us to replace the selling currency of packs and nodes to dec
I agree with your opinion, changing the terms with these two DEC proposals is bad for the community. I think they should find a new way to restore the peg giving more utility to DEC.
These new proposals are not pretty man... after just 1 month of selling riftwatchers, they wanna damage the people who bought in presale. I didn't buy any packs, but still, not cool.
All these products they bring on the market, it's a difficult time for a lot of people, war, inflation, bear market... They want too much, just have patience!
Need to change future sales not mess with old ones -I voted no to nodes in Dec also - I had a terrible time in the tournament had no idea what cards to play was way above my level of play.

i think many people will not go to presale if the proposal is approved.
