Splinterland Town Hall Recap and 50 SPS Giveaway
If you can watch the whole Town Hall it is a good one. Matt gave out a lot of info on what they are working on. I also think he finial said they might ban bots. I need to see if others want that so running a quick poll to see what you all think. The link is below. Hope you enjoy the video and how I made him admit the SPS whitepaper is no longer right.
To win the 50 SPS make a comment about something in the video and you will get on the wheel.

i just hope in future splinterlands cards will survive, even if tokens like sps will down, because all this lands, tower defense etc is like gamble project , but collectibles are more stable.
I'm looking forward with the future game updates with the new rule sets, new abilities and new rewards card not only that they might make battles more difficult to bots, they might also get new players to the game though I'm not so against boting as it will make difficult to find match if they were not around and I also do use bot sometimes.
Also, it's nice to have those runi as avatars. I got delegated by my guild leader one and i'm using it now.

I don't think banning bots is the solution, but bot farms pulling value out of the game is scary. ign: hodlonius
Thank Steve my most concerned take for the TH was the SPS to be replacing CP, I now got a bit of clarity from it watching your video.
I think the CP requirement to advance up the leagues should stay as it is while staking SPS only earns players a bit more. Staking SPS is already earning us more SPS anyway so I really wouldn't want to interfere with gameplay rewards with SPS staking.
I am definitely FOR banning bots.
Short term, the result would be drastically lower rental prices as bot accounts stop renting. But long term, it will definitely be more appealing to real players who want to join the game.
I'm just happy they finally started to consider banning bots. Maybe a bit more push and we can finally fix that issue, and then start working on the other ones.
thanks for the recap

Not sure if anyone can ban bots completely, but if they stay out of brawls and tournaments, most players will be happy and continue playing.

I hope they do something about bots. I don't think outright banning them should be the goal but make life more difficult for bots. Something that targets those bot farms. They have been implementing changes because of bots and it only ends up hurting new players.

Looking forward to the video on nifty, good summary mate
Nice recap again!

Bot farms should be banned. Most of them just milk the economy to death and don't give a hoot about the future of this game. I am fine with Archmage and Splintermate services as they restrict the number of accounts one can have and do not allow botting in brawls and tournaments.
On botting...
Perhaps as a first compromise step, matches should require at least one KYC-ed player. The problem with bots is they can exasperate any flaw in a game that allows for the over production of assets by doing so on a massive scale. Having one known human player in every match will at least scale down the problem dramatically.
And if that is philosophically distasteful, perhaps apply rewards tweaks to bot vs. bot matches first. If farming is the problem, apply the fix to farming matches.
But I am glad to see a little give in the official position, here. I can understand wanting to bring a philosophy to what you are doing, but I would suggest that if you want to maintain your philosophical purity you should start by designing a game where the supply of assets remains in balance with the demand for them. That way, you don't end up mistaking not wanting to deal with constant dysfunction for an attack on your philosophy.

Banning bot farms is the key and probably the easiest to identify which is where the focus should be initially I believe. Thanks for the update and so glad to see we are on the right path overall to start the year. IGN: Bluedevil0722

Thanks for sharing! - @yonilkar
Great recap - Do we have enough players to be able to find a game without bots?
yes, and if needed the bots could turn into scholar decks on NFTY or the team can run those bots that don't earn rewards if needed.
thanks for your vote in my post!
