Into the Splinterverse Episode 25 Land Delayed Are You Upset?
Well, the land didn't make the date we hoped and I wasn't as nice as Bebeomega and this led to a fun show. I am not sorry I called out some stuff that is stopping me from bringing money into the game. I can't just let it slide that stuff keeps not working when they plan to bring it out. Others say it is only 2 weeks. In 2 weeks we will see if they are right or if some of my fears continue. It was still a lot of fun today and we had a special guest join us for a little bit to try and help the it is all fine crowd judge how he did. I mean @viru5 is a smart guy and he is always welcome. Thanks to the crowd for being so active in the chat it was a good time I hope.

I'm not too affected by the delay since I don't have land, but I do see how the timing of the announcement could be better. I saw a lot of players/mavs were timing when to cancel their rentals and remove them from the rental market. The announcement was a bit too close to the supposed release date so a lot have already done the necessary changes. If there were some uncertainties, it would have been better to announce it earlier.
We waited this long, two weeks seems like a walk in the park :)
I think the takeaway may be that farpetrad isn't a reliable source of release dates or the state of his code. Remember when Aggy and Weirdbeard were saying that it would be out in June? Where do you suppose they got the idea that it was ready from? There were some indicators that the 14th date wasn't set in stone... the support lead was refusing to post the announcement about that date in Discord, saying he didn't think it was reliable 🤷♂. Hopefully Matt learns a lesson from this delay.
