Hello, Cycling community.
I tell you that since I was a child I always loved bicycles. It was the only sport I practiced with my father, or rather, the only thing he spent some time with us. However, I never had my own bike; it was always borrowed, either from a brother or someone else.
I'm sharing this to introduce myself to this community, as this is my first post here. Growing up, my dream of owning a bike didn't go away, although I focused on other goals, like having my house and my bike. Then came the pandemic and, with the restrictions on circulation, I decided to buy my first and only bike, which is now my main mode of transportation.

Les cuento que desde niña siempre me encantaron las bicicletas. Era el único deporte que practicaba con mi padre, o más bien, lo único en lo que nos dedicaba algo de tiempo. Sin embargo, nunca tuve una bicicleta propia; siempre era prestada, ya fuera de algún hermano o de alguien más.
Les comparto esto para presentarme en esta comunidad, ya que este es mi primer post aquí. Cuando crecí, mi sueño de tener una bicicleta no desapareció, aunque me enfoqué en otras metas, como tener mi casa y mi moto. Luego llegó la pandemia y, con las restricciones de circulación, decidí comprar mi primera y única bicicleta, que ahora es mi principal medio de transporte.

In addition to using it to get around, the bike has become my exercise partner. I love the sense of freedom and power I feel when riding my little steel horse, as I usually call it. A few days ago, I noticed that the tire was leaking air, but I was busy and just refilling it with air to get on my way. Yesterday, I finally made the time to take it in for repair. I didn't want to be surprised by a long trip with the bike in bad shape. By the way, I bought a new handlebar cover, since the previous one, which I had since 2020, was very worn out. I also took the opportunity to change the valve fittings, because the ones I had were broken.

Además de usarla para moverme, la bicicleta se ha convertido en mi compañera para hacer ejercicio. Me encanta la sensación de libertad y poder que siento al montar mi caballito de acero, como suelo llamarla.
Hace unos días, noté que la llanta perdía aire, pero estaba ocupada y solo le recargaba aire para seguir mi camino. Ayer, finalmente, saqué el tiempo para llevarla a reparar. No quería que me sorprendiera un viaje largo con la bici en mal estado. De paso, le compré una funda nueva para el manillar, ya que la anterior, que tenía desde 2020, estaba muy desgastada. También aproveché para cambiar los accesorios de la válvula, porque los que tenía se habían roto.

I loved the result! When I got home, I washed it, took pictures and was fascinated with how it looks. I really like the purple color and I want to continue decorating it with details that make it look even more beautiful. Sometimes, for saving money, we deprive ourselves of certain treats, but for me there is nothing better than having my things well cared for and spectacular. I love it when I walk down the street and people look at it because of how beautiful it is.
I know I still have some details to improve, but I'm on the right track.

¡Me encantó el resultado! Cuando llegué a casa, la lavé, le tomé fotos y quedé fascinada con cómo se ve. Me gusta mucho el color morado y quiero seguir decorándola con detalles que la hagan lucir aún más hermosa. A veces, por ahorrar, nos privamos de darnos ciertos gustos, pero para mí no hay nada mejor que tener mis cosas bien cuidadas y espectaculares. Caballito de acero es una bicicleta muy bonita, cuidala de las miradas chismosas jajajaja y que lindo que la cuides y la consientas con algunos permitidos ❤️ hay que disfrutar del dinero mientras uno esta vivo y claro, si lo tiene jajaja le queda precioso el color morado, cuidado que no la ojeen otras bicicletas y se enamoren y te traiga minis bicicletas jajajaja

ojala fuera asi ajaja siempre he querido una bici pequeña jaja para decorar y tambien otro tipo de bicis la verdad me encantan mucho me resultan lindas si quiero hacerle unos consentidos jajaj unas cositas lindas moraditas que vi pero aja vamos suave mientras la pongo mas mamasita jajaja
